Very good with the bunkbeds but missing a hot tub and a sauna should invest in one of those, but other than that it was good

Beware the map attached currently points to Kyoto City Hall, the actual location of this hotel is near Kyoto Station well over 2 miles away.

I didn't like it at all

If wanna leave your luggage safe leave it in a coin locker. I left it in the hostel and they put it where anyone can take it and there's no videosurveillance either.
There's not even a locker for the luggage in the bedroom and anyone is able to steal it.
The conditions are not the best either

It's my first time trying a room with such design, no bunk-bed capsules but compact rooms seperated by walls and blinds. There is no walkable area inside the unit, just bed and a storage space, but quite comfortable actually. The dormitary is mix-gender and shower is at the basement, a bit inconvenient but works. Really like the common area, equipped with kitchenware so people can cook there!

Very close to the city center and station, quite convenient to walk everywhere without taking a public transportation.
The only issue for me was a very strong smell of urine in the shower room. Not sure if it's because of the water pipe problem or what, but it smells soooo bad.
So, I kind of had a hard time holding my breath while drying my hair in that room. Even though it looks clean and ventilated, I just couldn't.
And plus, me and my sis didn't received an indoor shoes to wear in the building. However, we luckily found someone who left their shoes in the hallway (so we secretly took them lol).
Overall it's okay and I do actually had a great time. Staff is friendly and able to communicate in English.
And If I have my next Kyoto trip again, this hostel would probably will be one of the very first choices I might consider.
