A Stunning Property with the Best Spa I’ve Ever Experienced

Six Senses Kyoto is a beautiful, luxurious property, and it delivered on every level for us. We had a gorgeous large suite with a separate living room space for our girls, which made a real difference traveling as a family. Having that extra room to spread out turned the suite into somewhere we actually wanted to spend time, not just sleep.
The bathroom deserves a special mention. It’s incredible, easily on par with any Aman bathroom I’ve been in, which is saying something. And the spa was, quite simply, the best spa experience I have ever had. I’ve been to a lot of them, and this one stood above the rest.
The design throughout is stunning and the whole property feels considered and calm. If you’re looking for a standout luxury stay in Kyoto, this is an easy recommendation. We loved it.

We had a wonderful stay at Six Senses Kyoto as a family with young children. Everything was impressive, especially the warm and attentive service from the entire team. The breakfast was excellent, with great quality and a lovely selection. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and very relaxing, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful and elegant. It was a truly memorable family stay in Kyoto, and we would love to come back again.

The absolute best hotel experience we’ve had in Japan!

This is hands down the best hotel experience we’ve ever had in Japan. Six Senses has created a stunningly new, zen, and peaceful oasis in Kyoto. The service is top-notch; the team is exceptionally professional and attentive. They curated so many thoughtful little touches for our wedding anniversary that made us feel incredibly special. We cannot recommend this place enough!

We have an amazing week in Kyoto. We were so happy that we chose Six Senses among all the hotels available. We love the small boutique hotels and this one is a gem. The architecture and interior design is stunning. Our bedroom was exquisite. We loved the black out shades, the super comfortable bed, and the understated luxury of the decor. Personally, I loved the deep onsen bathtub in our room that I used every night before bed. The breakfast buffet was scrumptious. We looked forward to it every morning. The staff was simply outstanding. They helped us hail taxis, call stores, set up luggage delivery, make reservations. It was a wonderful stay. I highly recommend it.

Exceptional service in a beautiful setting

Unfortunately, our agent didn’t book us into this hotel, but we visited and had a very pleasant few hours in the Sky Bar. The reception area is stunning, with its muted decor, relaxed seating and Zen garden.
Although I’m not in a position to review the guest rooms, the Sky Bar was great and the service excellent. It is beautifully designed and has a serene atmosphere, as well as great views across Kyoto. Our waiter, Adee, was very efficient but also exceptionally friendly and informative. He made us feel like honoured guests and it was a great pleasure to chat with him.
I had 2 non-alcoholic cocktails that were delicately flavoured and perfectly chilled. My partner was just as delighted with his alcoholic versions… The drinks were accompanied by some remarkably healthy tasty snacks!
It was a perfect location to relax and watch the sun going down.
