Wonderful property—even though it rained the entire time we were there, we still had a great experience. I love the Goto Islands in general; they’re incredibly peaceful. The warm welcome from my dad’s friends made the stay even more special.

Hotel with great ocean view
Located about 20 minutes by car from Fukue Port and 15 minutes by car from Fukue Airport, this is one of the few resort hotels on Fukue Island with condo-style rooms with kitchens.
Originally a corporate retreat, this hotel was renovated and expanded.
In front of the hotel is a very beautiful Shirahama beach, which gives you the feeling of being on a remote island of Okinawa or Hawaii.
There are no convenience stores, supermarkets, or restaurants in the area, so it is best to arrange a rental car.
It takes about 15 minutes by car to the center of Fukue Island and the nearest supermarket and convenience store.
There are various types of rooms, such as standard twin rooms, lofted rooms, and kitchen rooms.
There is no TV or radio in every guest room.
This time we stayed in a room with a kitchen.
Rooms with kitchens are two-story structures and have two steep steps inside which are dangerous and should be avoided by people with reduced mobility, families with small children and older people.
In front of the guest room is a twin room wing, so you can see the ocean in the distance but not the beach at all. It's a shame the room is so expensive.
There is a kitchen, so you can bring your own food to cook, but there are so few plates and cooking utensils that it's not enough without additional requests. When I requested a plate, he told me to bring it for breakfast because I needed it for breakfast the next morning.
Microwave and rice cooker available.
Seasoning and oil are prepared beforehand.
In case of consecutive nights, there is no cleaning. Towels may be changed only if requested. There was no explanation at check-in.
There is a public bath, but it is necessary to walk down the outdoor passage to another building.
There was also no explanation of how to unlock the auto lock to enter the building.
The large public bath is spacious and has an inner bath and a semi-open-air bath. The water is very hot.
Breakfast is a daily menu made with local ingredients.
After checking out, a man in short-sleeved shorts, unsure if he was a staff member or a guest, ran up to me and asked me to look for him because he didn't have enough card keys, but I don't think there's any hotel nowadays that lets customers look for one just because they don't have one.
The staff are friendly but low-level, and should be a little more attentive and courteous to guests as hotel employees.
It's a bit stiffer on the bed.

Hotel with comfortable sea view
I stayed in a twin room. The room is very clean because I take off my shoes and change into slippers. The sea from the balcony is amazing and makes you want to see it forever. Not having a TV in the room is also a good way to spend time relaxing.
Meals are served at the restaurant located in the central building. You mean a course of Mexican cuisine, but it's more like a creative dish with plenty of local ingredients. We had a two-part event from 17:30 and 19:00, and we had a view of the sea from 17:30. Breakfast is Japanese food made from local ingredients in the same place, and you can pick it up in dashi chazuke, but this was a delicious refill.

Relaxing get away
Beautiful location on the beach. Modern and thoughtful accommodation. Lovely, helpful and friendly staff. Delicious evening meal. Can easily spend a day or two based at the hotel using the beach if wanting to relax. Car hire possible from the hotel or bike hire if wanting to explore more. Highly recommended for a special get away.
