Lovely space. Very large buffet for dinner and breakfast with a mix of mostly Japanese and some western foods.
Afternoon tea was appreciated by hungry family after hiking that day.
We had a traditional tatami room to accommodate our family in one room, a bit dusty for the son with allergies, sleeping so close to the floor
Outdoor rooftop onsen had amazing views. Mens only and women’s only
Catch the shuttle bus (110 yen per person) across the street from the Tobu Nikko station, in front of the coffee shop.
We played tennis at the court across the front entrance for 1100 yen (rackets and ball rental)
Trail around the hotel was nice in the morning to wake up but would not venture out past dark as there are no lights beyond the very start. A bit of a hill heading back and we finished it in under 30 mins but we were motoring to get to our breakfast buffet start.

Enjoy all-inclusive at a discount

This is my second stay after last year. Same day morning reservation. Free transfer from Nikko Station. I took the 15:40 bus, but it was empty by a large bus.
There is a welcome sweet after arrival time and you can eat freshly squeezed Mont Blanc until around 17:00.
The building is old, but the lobby and front desk are beautiful. There are some aging and worrying parts, but I think it can't be helped because it's cheap and all-inclusive.
Regarding meals, last year, there were quite a few that used local ingredients, and we included them in the questionnaire. This time, there are more local ingredients and they reflect our voices! This has increased confidence in the hotel.
The bath has a superb view. The hotel told me that I could see Mount Tsukuba if the weather was fine.
On a side note, there is a free shuttle bus from here to Osasa Ranch, so I used it the next day.

Overall, the stay didn’t feel worth the high price. The onsen water was just regular hot water — nothing special. The buffet was decent, and the wine selection was actually quite impressive, but breakfast was disappointing with no freshly squeezed juice available. Many of the walking trails nearby were also closed during my stay.
For the price (over SGD 900 for a standard double room), it simply didn’t deliver the value or experience expected.
