Konichiwa Odawara!
First time in Japan - hotel is located outside the main area, but they got schedule shuttle buses.
The location and scenery were incredibly peaceful. The room we stayed in was lovely and offered a breathtaking panoramic view of the sea. It had a unique Japanese theme, with a tea room (or I believe it was) where we had to sit on the floor at low tables.
The hotel’s grounds are incredibly spacious. I took a morning walk around the complex and was able to admire the natural surroundings.
The evening buffet was quite pleasant, offering a diverse selection of seafood and meats. It was the same place you had for breakfast, but now they also had western and Japanese options!
The hotel also offered a range of amenities, such as a bowling alley, gaming arcade, gift shop, and an onsen!
If you’re looking for a place to stay in Odawara, I’ll recommend this place!

Fell short of expectations
We stayed here for three nights in July, using it as a relaxing stop between Kyoto and Tokyo. Unfortunately, the hotel fell short of expectations in several ways.
The property itself feels dated, both outside and inside — clearly in need of a renovation. Rooms were clean, at least, which was a saving grace.
Food was a letdown. We tried the buffet one evening and it was unremarkable, and breakfast was just okay — limited options of fresh fruit which surprised us for a hotel at this price point. The dining area has more of a canteen feel than a resort restaurant, and staff seemed to struggle keeping up with clearing tables to seat new guests. This then created lines at breakfast waiting for a table. Which is not how anyone wants to start their morning on holiday.
The hotel was at full capacity during our stay, and it showed. This felt very much geared toward families rather than couples — the pool was packed with young children most of the day. On the plus side, the onsen was a genuine highlight: peaceful and very clean.
There’s a free shuttle to Odawara (weekdays only) and to Nebukawa, which we used and found convenient. Hilton Gold members get 25% off at the restaurant. The only reason we didn’t award a 1 star review was due to the excellent fitness centre - this is probably the best hotel gym we have visited.
Overall, given the price tag, I expected a lot more from a Hilton property. Between the tired facilities, average food, and crowds, I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to others looking for a relaxing getaway.

Great Staff and Convenient Shuttles
Great staff and service! A special shout-out to Aoki-san, who was super helpful in assisting me with a complicated billing request. He was incredibly patient and willing to accommodate my preferences, making the whole process smooth and stress-free.
The resort facilities are also excellent. The pool is a huge plus and provided endless fun for the kids to play in. Additionally, the shuttle services provided from both Odawara and Nebukawa stations were incredibly convenient and made getting to and from the property a breeze. Overall, a fantastic stay!

Walking into the lobby of this hotel was an amazing experience!
After travelling on several rural roads to get there, we were suddenly transported into another world. Wide and spacious, not crowded. A place to relax and to take in the ambvience of it all.
The staff were the best that we have encountered in a long time, and we were thinking to ourselves that this is the 'Hilton difference, the Hilton training'.
Nothing much to say about the food, other than that it was very good, whatever we chose. In fact, I was pleasently suprised at how good it was.
Onsen baths were as one would expect, but the swimming pool and the pool area for children are something to take your breath away. Don't forget, we are talking about the suburbs of Odawara.
Surrounding the hotel are areas of natuaral green lawns, trees and pools. We saw tadpoles in one of the pools today!
At the end of the day, there is not much that I can complain about, so well done Hilton. We will be back

Relaxing Stay
Stayed 5 nights. Friendly staff. Good breakfast selection. Comfortable room. Regular shuttle buses to Odawara on weekdays. I took an evening walk from the hotel to Nebukawa Station. Very scenic views of the bay when going down this road. This takes about 30 mins and then returned with the shuttle bus to the hotel.
