Natural hot springs are great!!

This hotel is about a 6-minute walk straight north from Higashi-Okazaki Station.
The front desk was generally good.
There are no card keys, and you enter the room with a PIN code.
The room is simple and clean, and the bed is low and wide.
The amenities and in-room facilities are comparable to those of a well-known, luxurious hotel.
Breakfast is free and is of a Toyoko Inn standard + a little extra, but was quite delicious.
There were no foreigners in the hotel.
There is a small large bath (with alternating men's and women's use) with natural hot spring (heated). The water is colorless and transparent, but has a slimy feel.
There are many different types of pillows to choose from, and the nightwear is a robe.
Wi-Fi is free and can be used without any hassle.
This hotel offers high service and value for money.

Clean and convenient

The hotel is quite close to the train station and Okazaki castle. It is very clean and the breakfast provided is quite substantial if you like Japanese food. The front desk staff are a bit standoffish and don’t really speak English. The rest of the staff are quite friendly. The rooms are small, as per Japanese standards, but there is a mini fridge and a kettle. If you have a lot of luggage, you will be juggling for space. Extra pillows are available at the front desk, as are pyjamas. Make reservations ahead of time online. You can do this in both English and Japanese.

Reasonable, but not so cheap place to stay.

First impressions were, like many Japanese hotels, just over-the-top. 5 young female receptionists all standing around the desk speaking in high pitched 'stiletto' voices. False friendly welcome as they repeat the same thing every time the door opens, despite where the person might be going or what they may be doing. Rooms average for the Yen 7,500.- I paid. Could probably have done better if I'd had the chance to look around more.

Hotel near Higashi Okazaki station

Hotel is very near the station. Take the North Exit, cross the bridge and on the bridge, you should be able to see the hotel.
There is a laundry room in the hotel. 100 yen for the wash and 100 yen for the dryer and detergent is provided free.
Hotel is very clean. Friendly staff. Bathroom is very small but we took our bath in the spa on the first floor, so it wasn't an issue. Breakfast provided.
We put up a night here as we wanted to go to Korankei the following day, which is 2 hours from Nagoya.
Plenty of restaurants around.
