Pleasant stay and logistically convenient in Osaka

Another stop during our traveling tour in Japan and, at the same time, another hotel tried, this time in Osaka. Arriving at the APA Hotel around 11:45 AM (with prior reservation ) from the nearby subway station (we had previously arrived in the city from Kyoto via the Shinkansen ), we left our luggage directly at the lobby in a designated area, indicated to us by the staff, while waiting to check in later, which was scheduled for the afternoon (I don't remember exactly if it was at 3:00 PM ); it should be noted that a QR code was issued for retrieval to be shown later. A few hours later, after a visit to the city castle and a well-deserved meal , we returned to the hotel to proceed with check-in (in our case done independently via the self-service kiosks) and then went up to our room . Not bad this last one, suitable for our needs and complete with all the standard comforts for establishments of this category (electric kettle with herbal teas/instant coffee ☕️, minibar, Wi-Fi and air conditioning ), although characterized by really minimal spaces (after all, the hotel itself, presenting as a tall skyscraper with a modern and sleek design, obviously suffers from structural width limitations); very nice the origami crane left for us on the nightstand, I imagine as a sign of welcome. We did not have breakfast ☕️ included, which is why I cannot comment on that aspect. The quality/price ratio is overall fair considering the total bill of 523.17 euros (paid in advance with a credit card ), understood for two double rooms. The location is strategic, right next to the subway station (you just need to walk around the hotel ) and a short distance from the main shopping/walking area ‍♀️ of Namba. We had a good experience, so I RECOMMEND IT .

Hotel location was very ideal for those who do not like to make too many transfer to get there, especially when u have few big luggage. Hotel location is so near to bus terminal that route between Kansai Airport and Namba Station. We really enjoy the convenient of taking the bus directly to Kansai International Airport T2. Their hotel has a sky view at level 40, so make time have sky view of partial Osaka city.

The location of this hotel was great. The rooms were clean and typical Japan size..I did like though that you could store carry on size luggage under the bed. The onsen was fantastic!!! It was great to have a 7-11 right in the building. The gym facilities were pay only. The move to touch less check-ins throughout our trip means no contact with staff. This was a little difficult in the morning when we were trying to navigate our way to universal studios..no concierge no front desk staff available but this was the only downside.

Excellent hotel in the lively area of Namba in Osaka. The hotel is very new and well maintained. We had spacious and comfortable connecting rooms. The onsen was great: too bad that the geometry of the hotel (a tower, as the name says) did not allow for a rotenburo (open-air onsen). Overall, absolutely excellent.
One thing that caught me off-guard: the booking person’s passport was required. It had never occurred to me in 25 years of travel to Japan and apparently it is a new rule in Osaka Prefecture. I was travelling out of our base in Kobe and so I did not bring my passport with me. I fortunately always have scans of alla family members’ passports in my phone, so we could solve that. Make sure to have your passport with you!
