Great hostel.
Gloire guesthouse is a great hostel and one of the cleanest i have stayed in, in Asia. The showers are brand new, clean cabins with hot powerful water. Something that is rare in Asia hostels.
The location is good, 5 min walk to the subway and 10 min walk to Dotonbori.
Common area with facilities to warm up food and make drinks.
Wifi is perfect if you want to watch films or catch up with some work.
Rooms are great with the curtains and offers a nice bit of privacy in a dorm room.
Mattresses are terrible.
Check in and out times is the only thing stopping this place being 5*
It is the latest check in time with the earliest check out time ive experienced. Usually its one or the other, with one being early or late the other compensates - such as; the usual is 2pm and 11am. So a 3pm check in time, 12pm check out would compensate. Not 10am. 5 hour gap to change beds is more than enough surely?
Also no space in the rooms for your bags unless you either want to sleep with them on your bed or you get a top bunk by the window. Then you can balance your bag on the bed post against the window.

10/10 hostel
This is probably the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Rooms and bathrooms are spotless, location is very close to a subway and walking distance to Dotonburi. The highlight is the staff: the guy at the front desk spoke excellent English and was extremely nice and helpful during our entire stay. You can also rent bikes for much cheaper than elsewhere -- Osaka is a great city for biking. Would highly recommend this hostel to anyone!

Clean & convenient
This was by far one of the cleanest hostels I've ever stayed in. The rooms, common areas and bathrooms were always spotless. And the elevator smelled like peaches :)
The rooms were quite small, but there weren't too many people there at the time so my friends and I got our own room.
The staff were very friendly, giving great recommendations for Osaka. The location was pretty good - walkable to Dotonburi and a few minutes walk to the subway station. You're also able to rent bikes for 500¥ a day, which is much cheaper than any bike rental in the area.
Overall it was a very pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Osaka!

Best hostel I've ever stayed in!!
This hostel literally looks brand new, and has the friendliest most helpful staff ever. We were in a group of3 and although we booked beds in a mixed dorm they put us in a private room for free :) they were super helpful in giving us recommendations and suggestions, and even offered us free bicycle rentals for the day after we experienced an earthquake that left all the trains closed. I loved our stay here, 100% would recommend!!!!!

So clean!!!
This is by far the cleanest and nicest guesthouse I have stayed in. It even smells really good. The location is fantastic. There are family mart and a Chinese supermarket about 3 mins walk. It’s about 10-15’ walk to the famous Dotombori and about 10’ walk to the subway station. The staff are very helpful. I only booked for one night and I paid $18CAD but when I checked in I told the receptionist that I want to book an extra night and she checked the price and asked me to pay $25CAD. I paid her and later I checked in Booking and saw the price was still $18CAD so the next day I showed the price on Booking to the girl and asked if she can do anything about it. She said she will consult with her manager. I went out and went I came back, I saw the manager and he refunded me the difference. I would stay here again when I come back to Osaka.
