Just feels like real Osaka

I had. I idea what I was booking myself into with this hotel. The room itself was a proper twin with a comfortable amount of space, with a Japanese style shower.
While not the most modern, the dark halls downstairs and steel doors to the rooms give more of a hint of adventure than romance. It’s a bit clunky and worn, but I like it. What’s more, stepping out the front door drops you right into Osaka’s vibrant night-life in an area that I surprisingly found fairly thin of tourists.
Nearby are plenty of food options and fascinating street malls. All were wishing comfortable walking distance of of Osaka’s central train station.

Centrally located basic hotel with only couple quirks

Close to Osaka station. Once you get your head around the station and learn the underground passages you can nearly walk all the way to the hotel underground (pop out in the next block). In a clubs, entertainment, night life area but was well sectioned off. As quite as you could get in this area but do expect a little street noise mainly on the weekends.
Was good value for money. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean. Let us borrow an umbrella. Rooms looked large (twin share) but wasn't much room more down to the configuration of the room.
Couple things we would suggest if they are looking for improvement. Few odd things we never had at other hotels.
- Metal doors - I have never stayed at a hotel with solid metal (steel?) doors. They are heavy and quite loud when closing or people are knocking on others doors.
- Swipe card room access - You get a physically key and you have to manually lock the door (so don't forget to lock before you leave). Need to modernise and look at card room access.
- If you want you room cleaned you have to leave you key with the front desk. This felt odd.
- Washing machine, look at pricing structure for these. Not in line with other hotels. Plus felt like the dyers were set cold air setting. Took 1hr & half to dry a load of washing. Ended up costing a lot more then other places.
If it was not for the above points I would giving this place a very good (4) rating.
I would probably look at other options if I was in town again but I wouldn't be against staying here again.

Nice room, friendly staff, great location

Osaka was our first stop on our visit to Japan and the Hotel Kinki helped get things off to a good start. As is common with hotels in Japan, the room was small but clean and comfortable. The friendly staff were helpful in giving directions to places we wanted to visit. And, being just a couple blocks from Umeda Station, it was easy to get to everything we wanted to see. If we were to make another trip to Osaka, we would stay at Hotel Kinki without hesitation,

Great Location.

Stayed here for three nights in June of 2019. The hotel is easy to find if you have google maps on your phone. It's a 10 minute walk from JR Osaka Station.
We are a family of 3 and we stayed in a Triple Room with 3 small beds.
Not the most floor space for laying out your suitcases, etc, but we made do. The room was clear and the bathroom had a separate toilet and shower. Overall we were happy with out stay because of the central location and the ease of access to Osaka Station. Would recommend this as a reasonably priced hotel in a great location.
2 minute walk to a 7-Eleven and a Family Mart and plenty of food options nearby.

Good value for money

A pleasant stay in this hotel, located around a 10 min walk from Osaka station. A little difficult to find from the station, head in the direction of Hep 5 and the Ferris wheel would be my tip. Good bathroom, firm beds and a good value for money. A good place to stay in Osaka, I would recommend.
