Loved staying here.

I was stunned by the location in the heart of the Shinsekai District. It was like living in a fun fair! It is very close to the Tsutenkaku Tower and we walked and cycled round the city from here including to the famous Kuromon Ichiba Market and one other. Two local stations just a few minutes walk away, easily got us to Dotonburi and other sights.
Breakfasts were decent and inexpensive and the rooms were very good indeed; probably the best of the 5-city tour hotels that we stayed in: a good size, clean and comfortable. Good sleep, being quiet even with the window open despite the area. My only word of warning is that the bathrooms, though clean and had great shower, toilet and a small bath, were like little pods in the room. This meant a significant step up to get in and out and there was a good height to get your leg over and into the bath for the lovely shower. For the elderly or disabled this may be a problem.
Plenty of facilities: toothbrush and toothpaste, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair drier, USB ports for charging phones, tv (with little English but a great channel devoted to Sumo to pass ten minutes resting time), iron and ironing board from reception etc.
The staff were efficient and friendly at breakfast too. Free coffee and 'tottette' (a pastry or doughnut) each day at reception from 3pm.
I loved staying here and would definitely return; it truly felt like you were in the centre of it.

Minimal service , the room is small, no tea and coffee are provided location wise is very near New world Arcade, not bad for a short stay.

Close to multiple train lines, convenient to travel, easy to find food, near tourist attractions, and good value for the price.

Worth a Visit

We stayed two wonderful nights at the Osaka-Shinsekai on the 13th floor in a King Room. The room itself was very basic & small, but we knew that when booking. They provide slippers, pajamas, and a hot water kettle in the room. However, they provide additional amenities such as lotion, razors, and other various beauty amenities downstairs - everything you need in a pinch. The view of the Tsutenkaku Tower from our room is what made this experience all worth it. I highly recommend booking a room on a higher floor. We went into this thinking the hotel would be noisy, and it would be hard to sleep due to noise in the Shinsekai area. We were wrong and slept easily. Just a tip for future travelers, the windows do not open, and when the heat is turned on, the room can get a bit stuffy.
The hotel is in the heart of Shinsekai - it is easy to navigate the nearby Shin-Imamiya-Ekimae station. Restaurants, entertainment, and Don Quijote are close by. Bonus points for being directly across the street from Chao Chao Gyoza! This restaurant was one of our favorites in Japan, and we wish we had discovered it sooner.
The staff was friendly, checked us in easily, and answered any questions we had throughout our stay. Overall, the hotel was wonderful, clean, & worked out for a couple of nights. I am only giving it three stars because it is very basic compared to all of the amazing hotels in Japan - it feels more like a business hotel, and not one for tourists.

The service was very excellent! Room was simple enough for travellers who will be out and about for most parts of the day! It's conveniently located near Shinsekai area, with many izakayas you can choose from. Walking to popular destinations like tsutenkaku tower and tennoji zoo is possible! The walk from the subway was also very short (about 5 minutes)! However, the area where the hotel is located has a lot of heavy smokers! If you are sensitive to tobacco smoke, please be aware of this! This area also does not seem to be very family friendly so be aware if you are travelling with kids! The room is also too small to lay out two medium luggages unless you do it by the toilet! The toilet is also kind of narrow, which may be inconvenient for the elderly! Otherwise, I think the hotel is a great and cheap option!
