Budget-friendly stay with limited space: ideal only for light travelers needing a simple place to sleep
ホテル周辺には飲食店は無く、コンビニエンスストアも徒歩5分程度のところにあるのが最も近いコンビニエンスストアです。レストランも大津駅まで行かなければならず（ホテルと大津駅は徒歩10分程度）、特に天候の悪い日は食事や食料の調達も億劫に感じるでしょう。
とは言え、京都市内や大阪市内のホテルと比較すると、場合により半額程安い価格で宿泊できるのは非常に魅力に感じるでしょう。大津は大阪まで1時間程度で行けるため、客室の狭さに目を瞑れるなら、コンパクトな荷物で単なる寝泊まりの場所として利用するといいかもしれません。
スタッフの接客対応は、適切な距離を保ちつつ丁寧でした。また、レンタサイクルのサービスを利用することが出来ます。
While the age of the rooms (including the bathrooms) is understandable, the real issue here is the extremely limited space. Even with light luggage, the room feels cramped, and if you're traveling with a large suitcase, this hotel is not recommended at all - there’s virtually no space to open one.
The biggest advantage of this hotel is the very low price. However, that’s about it. There are no restaurants nearby, and the closest convenience store is about a 5-minute walk away. For any proper dining options, you'll need to head to Otsu Station, which is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. On rainy days, even getting food can feel like a hassle.
That said, compared to hotels in Kyoto or Osaka city centers, the cost can be nearly half, which is definitely appealing to budget travelers. Since Otsu is only about an hour from Osaka, if you're traveling light and just need a place to sleep, this hotel might still work for you despite the downsides.
Staff service was polite and respectful, maintaining an appropriate level of distance. They also offer bicycle rental, which could be a nice option for exploring the area.

スタッフの対応が丁寧で部屋も困ったことはなかったですが、建物の何処からか工事のような機械音が夜中ずっと聞こえてきて気になりました。
