Directly connected to underground walkway. Very convenient location. Buffet breakfast was amazing with plenty local traditional delicious cuisines.

Executive Lounge is recommended

We stayed on the executive floor.
We had requested a room in advance that was close to the elevator, but we were taken to the furthest room.
There was no explanation from the hotel about the failure to respond to the advance request.
The executive lounge looked like this. There were also plenty of delicious baked goods, ice cream and drinks.

I was very comfortable in that lounge.

Gem hotel for families

We chose Sapporo Grand Hotel because it has i) family room that can fit 4 beds, ii) direct access to the underground walkway and Sapporo Station, iii) its own dedicated private parking. The hotel outperformed on all these and more.
I was most impressed with the spaciousness of the room. Not only can it fit 4 beds comfortably, it is also the first room I had ever occupied that can fit 4 chairs and a table! It also has a separate foyer, lots of wardrobe space and well equipped bathroom. It absolutely houses our family of 4 comfortably for 2 nights. It was also spotlessly cleaned.
Breakfast was lovely too with sufficient variety and quality. The breads were particularly lovely and there are 9 different types of honey to choose from.
The staff were also super efficient. They managed to deliver my packages easily.
The hotel itself is full of old world charm, but not short on modern comforts. I would stay here again on my future visits to Sapporo.

I forgot my bag on the airport bus shuttle and the staff was incredibly helpful. I lost my bag that evening and got it back the next morning
