This was my first time using Route Inn.

The female staff at the front desk were very friendly and smiley.
The facilities were clean and the bath was small but adequate.
The room was comfortable.
I appreciate the free coffee provided next to the front desk, but I wish it was a little more delicious.
The breakfast was also substantial, but I wish the rice was a little more delicious.

A good pick on the way to racing circuits

We chose this hotel for three reasons: it's located not far from Twin Ring Motegi, it's not far from Narita, and on the way back you can stil visit Tsukuba circuit. If you look close enough you'll find more hotels in the area. This particular one is European-type hotel with normal beds, with extremely warm comforters and duvets. Mind you, it was December and remember that there is no central heating in Japan. You can use air conditioning for heating. Unless you have problems with Japanese like we had. Tried to set the device up, but it wouldn't work as we wanted. Well, a good bath helped (later on we read that there is an onsen at the hotel - even better idea to warm up). Anyway, the room was prepared as I requested: max. on second floor, near an emergency exit (fear of earthquakes). By the way, as the tall hotel building is on rollers, you can feel the earth shaking (just get used to it and and get Yurekuru app to your phone). The quality of sleep was extremely good, also due to very quiet neighborhood. Breakfast: Japanese, but very tasty (actually, I don't know if there was European-kind of breakfast). As everywhere in Japan the staff was extremely polite and helpful. Although, their English could be better.

Clean and modern room at a budget price--can't really go wrong

Stayed one night as a single female traveller. Newly built hotel, and it was clean and modern. My non-smoking room was a good size for a Japanese hotel, with a wide bed and decent desk and chair space for working. Bathroom was standard business hotel unit bath set up. Despite it being a busy fall weekend with many other guests, the room was quiet and well-insulated from noise. Staff were friendly and polite, and the large parking lot meant there was no trouble finding a space.
The only real disappointment was their restaurant. As a vegetarian, there was absolutely nothing I could have beyond French fries, so I walked to the Coco's family restaurant up the block for dinner. When I left the hotel the restaurant was really noisy with Japanese families; when I came back after dinner there was a very loud group of non-Japanese in there. Probably not a place to go for a quiet dinner. Surprisingly, it was quiet when I went down for breakfast at 7.30 the next morning. Maybe it was too early on a Sunday for most people. The free buffet breakfast was rather heavy on Japanese food and meat--some fruit and yoghurt would have been appreciated--but the bread was good and the salad fresh. There is also self-service takeout coffee in the lobby--a nice touch.
I'd stay again. For the price, it was very good.

4泊しましたが朝食は毎日違うメニューで飽きませんでした。パンは特においしかった。
大浴場もあって快適にすごせました。頻繁に茨城へ行くので今度からはこちらのホテルを利用しようと思います。

禁煙室を希望していたが、喫煙室しか開いていなかった。匂いが気になったが、部屋にあた消臭剤を部屋中に吹きかけて、問題ないレベルになった。
3泊したが、朝食のビュフェのラインアップも、変化があり満足しています。
大浴場で、私が利用した洗い場のシャンプーが切れていた。

大浴場のシャンプーが切れていたとのことで、大変ご迷惑をおかけいたしました。
こまめに巡回し残量の確認をするなど、スタッフ内で周知し改善に努めてまいります。
