The staffs are nice. Hotel is old but it is still comfortable to make a nice stay.

The staff is very nice even though they can't speak English well
Basic accommodation for stop-over night
The downside is the onsen ( the corner pool) smell of chlorine too much.

Great hotel- just wish it was cheaper

For hotels close to Takinoue Park, the price is very reasonable, and it's really close, but it's still the most expensive hotel of our trip. Nothing much to complain about, though we did notice the rather old sofa in the room that seems a little out of place, and the bathroom had fewer amenities (eg. no conditioner) than what we've experienced before, and doesn't have the anti-fog mirror that we've seen in much cheaper places. It was strange, but our room was kept a bit too warm? The heater was off, and we didn't see any other way of controlling the room temperature. Dinner was great (we spent about JPY900-950 per dish) and the waiters were very attentive. Coffee was pricey, JPY380.

friendly staff

The hotel staffs are friendly and some front staffs speak English.
The onsen is small (indoor) and it wasn't crowded during Feb winter. Basically it pretty quiet and it's good as no one fight for the public bath except for locals patronising.
The restaurant serve pretty standard good food, recommended as we have our set breakfast and dinner throughout our stay. And restaurant staff serve special egg and bread breakfast for my kid which is a very nice touch.
