The stuff at check-in was so courteous. Our room was spotless. I had asked previously if they had any baby amenities and they had said no. Which was totally fine. But when we got into the room, there was a baby trashcan for diapers and a baby bath! It definitely made our stay easier and more enjoyable.

BECARE WITH THIS PLACE
First off, BE CAREFUL WHEN CHOOSING THIS HOTEL!!!!!
Why? We got to the hotel, and it's beautiful, inside and out. You have to check in using the IPad on the left as you walk in. Then you go to the front desk and the lady there provided us our key to the room. The swallow (birds) have nest all over the place, which usually means good luck, but no.
The room was really nice, hard wood floors with a nice tatami floor, 2 beds against the wall, with a big counter for making matcha tea, small coffee table on the floor and a small couch that you could lay on. The door to the shower was glass, so if you are laying on the bed, you can see through it. There is a curtain that you can roll down, but you can still see someone in the shower. So if anyone is taking a shower, you can see them clearly even though half the glass, the bottom half, is frosted. The floor in the shower room felt slimy, like it had not been cleaned in a couple days. The tub was filled with water and the shower was in the corner, in front of the tub. The balcony had fake grass and 2 seats out there, but with an AC unit and a big black box, there was hardly space to enjoy it. There was also a plant with rocks on the floor, so again, not too much space to enjoy the balcony.
Here is where it gets UGLY! This was our anniversary, so 3 days prior to arriving my wife let the hotel know what food we wanted and also that it was our anniversary, so could they do something for dessert. The goal was to have a fruit plate brought out, with "Happy Anniversary" on it. Simple...right? No! At dinner, we had to choose our drinks on the IPad. So my wife ordered Ginger Ale, I got water, my daughter got her drink. The ginger ale comes out, my wife takes a drink, and freaks out. She immediately spits it out and calls the Napalese waitress over. She told the waitress that there was alcohol in the ginger ale, so she got a Highball, not ginger ale. My wife cannot drink alcohol due to the medicine she had to take, hence the freaking out. The waitress brought over a new Ginger Ale and apologized for the mistake. HOW THE HELL, DO YOU PLACE A DIGITAL ORDER and THE STAFF GETS IT WRONG?
We eat dinner, then, we get the fruit plate and since I didn't know about the missing message, I didn't ask or say anything about it. Well, my wife asked the waitress about the missing message (this was in Japanese so I had no idea) and the waitress said "OH SORRY WE DIDN'T HAVE TIME!" The goddamn staff here, had 3 DAYS to create a fruit plate with "Happy Anniversary" written on it, and YOU DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO DO IT? WHAT THE HELL KIND OF ANSWER IS THAT?? By the way, I'm finding all this out today, 3 Aug, so I'm even more pissed because I would have made them fix the problem on the spot.
Breakfast, This is the dumbest thing ever: You are NOT ALLOWED to bring coffee to your table, and coffee is NOT an option for you to drink with your breakfast. If you want coffee, you have to drink the coffee, at the big table, in the lobby near the entrance. WHAT?! Who makes people drink their coffee at a table separate from their breakfast? The Japanese breakfast was good, but not all of us drink tea, so I ended up drinking water. Sad..truly sad.
Apparently the hotel manager called my wife and apologized, but this crap ruined our trip. It was a 2 hr drive there and this is what we have to deal with on our anniversary? What kind of kitchen staff is so lazy that they can't ever write a 16 letter message on a plate? Luckily my daughter didn't get the alcohol drink, but to look at the order and go "Oh ginger ale? ok, here is the highball for table#!"
Will I got back? NO! Do I recommend you choosing this hotel? NO! And beware that if you have a special event, they might ruin it by not having enough time. Luckily, the little boy at the table across from us, got his cake and candles, which made my night better, seeing him and his brother happy, celebrating his birthday with their parents.
Anyways, find a better place to stay, don't feel like you have to choose this place, there are better choices. Until the management realizes that they have problems that they need to fix, and that they are ruining peoples moments in time, then this place will continue to go down hill. They don't care, and neither should you, so find another spot to stay at.

Starry sky in open-air bath
The staff was amiable, but the explanation of the guidance was sometimes a little floundering
The room was clean and comfortable after renovation, and the rooftop open-air bath was overwhelmed by the starry sky in full view as I looked up at the night sky.

The hotel is well located, with an onsen on the top floor worth it and I recommend using it at sunrise or sunset.
It is also cozy, clean and there is a nice, relaxed Mood.
Breakfast, a little precarious by Japanese standards and the question when I left that if I should pay taxes for using the onsen when they had already been paid in the reservation, unnecessary.
