Ore FTW!

Hotel The Ore is definitely the place to stay at. It is close to all of the nightlife in Hongdae, yest nicely tucked out if the way just enough to not hear all of the noise. There is a 7/11 fairly close downstairs, as well as a Starbucks. Directly behind the hotel is a Italian/fusion restaurant that is AMAZING! Pictures of the nightlife on Hongdae Street. I went for Indie bands. Will definitely stay again.

stone’s throw away from Hongdae

If you need a place to sleep and shower since you’ll be out and about, this hotel is for you.
Overall, easy to locate and about a 5-10mins walk to Hongik University Station, Exit 1. Extremely close to Hongdae area where exits are easily accessible by walking through the underpass

Very nice, good standard.

Very good room design, most reviews say that it's too small.
But for me and my friend it was pretty much ok space.
Staff was very polite and helpful. Thre safety box was provided at the reception.
You get daily tea, coffee, water bottles and there was also drinking water on the floor.
Nice city view from the room.
Location is great 5min walk to subway 3min to the restaurants and nightlife street. Money exchange across the road.
One thing that was not good is the smoking smell occurring sometimes, I suppose it's through the air conditioner when the neighbors were smoking. Otherwise all windows and doors were closed.

Decent

Hotel The-Ore is fairly close to the food and busy areas in Hongdae. However, it's location isn't even the best; there's hotels across the street with even better proximity to everything. The size is lacking compared to those same hotels as well. It's an O.K. hotel to stay at, but it's always my second or third choice if the others are fully booked.

Nice hotel, good value, good location

Small hotel in a very busy part of Seoul, next to Universities. Good access to public transportation (subway and buses). Rooms are small but well organized and clean.
Main complaint was getting the smoke from the smoking room below ours in our room through the bathroom ventilation system. Hotel was being renovated during our stay so there was no restaurant (no breakfast) which was not clear when we made the reservation but there were many cafes nearby, so it wasn’t too difficult to find breakfast. These are the reasons I only give it 3 over 5.
Otherwise it was good value for money.
