We absolutely loved our stay at The Crown Guest house!
Beautiful artwork everywhere, comfy and quiet rooms and a wonderful breakfast.
The guest house is also a 3 minute drive from a mall with restaurants and shops, so very conveniently located.
Highly recommended for your trip to the Eastern Free State!
Many thanks to the owner and staff for making our stay so welcoming and enjoyable.

Horrible experience on arrival as my booking was cancelled for not answering my phone while payment was received on 24th

i was booked through agents who paid a week before my arrival but was forced to phone them myself to obtain confirmation. Sat in the cold until confirmation obtained around 10 pm.i suffered a terrible flu as a result. Hotel should learn to take accountability, treat customers fairly and apologies for the inconvenience they might have cause, Nice Place which require customer care,
I DONT WISH MY WORS ENEMY TO GO THROUGH WHAT I WENT THROUGH AFTER A LONG JOURNEY OF DRIVING.

Your review with all due respect is not truthful - may I remind you that you came to apologize the next morning - you even sent an email to say all in order. The payment made had no reference, so we could not match it - only after your arrival, your agent supplied us with a remittance. Also, you did not sit in the car - you waited in reception - no flu. Like you said - after numerous calls (which remained unanswered) - we cancelled your booking but ince you showed, we immediately re-instated it. Why on earth would you now take this nasty route?

Terrible attitude from the owner of the premises

I won't advise the department to ever book me the at the guesthouse. The TV was not working and l went to knock in the house for assistance only to get a terrible attitude from the owner of the premises. The TV worked only for one day after being reported and was not working for other days.
She asked me why did l not call her as if there is a telephone service in the rooms. The rooms do not have cell phones to report any problems we encounter at night. Whose airtime do we have to use when we have problems?
The lady that resides at the venue does not have sound human relations. What l saw from her attitude is racism of wanting me to succumb to ill-treatment. She did not even have an audacity of apologizing even when the other tenant who knocked at her window told her that he is the one that knocked at her window.
She looked at me with high level of underestimation even though l was the first person who wanted assistance she overlooked me accusing me of shouting her but she is the one that started with shouting.
How dare she shouts me and find it a bitter pill to swallow when she is shouted back.

We do not even respond to any accusation of rasism - we find if people have nothing to say, they accuse others of racism, I so wish we could get over that in this country.
With all due respect sir, why would you knock on a private bedroom window - that's called intruding.
We do not advertise telephones in the rooms but we provide an emergency number in the room.
The decoder malfunctioned - I tried to fix it and failed. I apologized, asked you to use the WiFi and then next day had it replaced.

Room was comfortable but despite us arriving during the course of the afternoon, our booked room was given to other VIP guests and a single bed was shoved into a double bedroom which made our stay rather uncomfortable. The breakfast was nice.
