Great for Family holiday
We had a great 2 week holiday here with 2 young families of 4.
Very spacious house with large garden and amazing heated swimming pool.
Great Location, very close to the beach, shops and restaurants.

It’s not jail
The accommodation runs on not drinkable borehole water, however during loadshedding there is simply no water, no flushing the toilet, no shower. An inverter or something to keep basic water on during loadshedding would not be a luxury, with loadshedding cutting the power for 2 hours at a time and that 2 to 3 times a day.
There is a first for everything: when the booking was made, I received a WhatsApp from someone named Sharon, asking for a picture of my id/passport, as it is part of their check-in procedure. This very unusual, uninviting and not secure at all.
The name “lodge” and the very well positioned pictures, gives a complete false impression of this accommodation.
The name lodge is rather deceiving, I don’t think the owners know the definition of “a lodge” this is a B&B, a house where the garage was turned into rooms. My rooms had very irritating and disgusting mixed smell of fungus, moist, drains and sewage. With no decent ventilation in the room, there are no real windows you can leave open, besides the sliding door, this is very uncomfortable. The floorboards in the room are curled up, loose, cracking and clicking on every step you take, clearly moist damage. The smell of my empty Indian curry box, was able to cover up some of the rooms’ odours.
Soundproofing is missing, whatever the people in the next room do you hear. Even the traffic noise from the R27, a good 120m away you hear. The weird noises coming from what seems behind the bathroom wall are very disturbing.
Not that I needed to use it, but the panel heater in the room is broken in half, exposing the wiring.
Breakfast was very basic fruit-salad, cereals, bread, graded cheese and a cold-moist bain-Marie with tasteless scrambled eggs, mushrooms,tomatoes meat.
Room has ZERO privacy, unless you keep the only sliding door/window and the curtains closed all the time, leaving you you in a dark smelly room. The glass sliding door gives-out on the tiny parking area, where neighbouring guests were sitting in between cars, in front of my door/window.
The sliding-half of the shower door, simply wasn’t there. Mould and shady silicone marking the edges of the shower door frame.
If only I hadn’t booked the 2 nights, non-refundable. And when I write couldn’t wait to get out of there, eagerly willing to skip the soggy breakfast eggs, I actually had to wait in the dark… from 04:00 until 06:05, loadshedding, having no water, to shower, flush, etc … leaving me as a prisoner in an overpaid, uncomfortable, smelly dorm.

Trattasi di garage in stile americano riadattato ad albergo,composto da tre camere con bagno.
La stanza ha un'unica vetrata da cui accedere ed un bagnetto annesso con minuscola finestra. Le rifiniture sono pessime, il soffitto è molto basso trattandosi di garage riadattato. Caldo, poco areato, buio, insomma davvero pessimo.
Unico aspetto positivo è la wi.fi. velocissima.
Non consigliato.
