An amazing find that shouldn’t be missed!

Michelle is the perfect host! Right from the start, her communication was outstanding. Booking a trip for a family of 6, including grandparents and young children can be stressful when it’s on the other side of the world. Not so with Michelle at Casa del Sonder! She helped from day 1 and really has made the start to our trip in Cape Town as easy as possible.
And all of this before we talk about the hotel, which is boutique, beautiful, unique (why we chose to stay here, yet right in the heart of the city.
The beds are super comfortable and all of us slept peacefully here. Some complain about the mosque with its call to prayer. Really!! It’s not a problem at all unless you are looking to make it a problem. The gentle call to prayer is soothing and not a problem at all.
Nandi! Oh Nandi is the wonderful house keeper breakfast chef and general all around amazing person who is beautiful inside and out. Thanks for being such a special person helping us enjoy our stay!
This hotel is a jewel! It feels like home. It’s like having a great big hug after a long trip or long day exploring.

Lovely guesthouse in a safe area in Bo-Kaap.

A wonderful guesthouse in a safe part of Cape Town in Bo-Kaap. The owners, Chase and Michelle, are welcoming and very helpful and the staff members - two lovely ladies - are incredible and prepare a lovely breakfast. One can easily get to/from the guesthouse by Uber at any time.
Next time I am in Cape Town, I will looking to stay here.

Great place to stay

Wow what a wonderful place to stay. The most stunning view of table mountain. The room was very clean spacious comfy had everything you needed.
The kitchen and lounge area was great felt like home.
Great cafe to get coffee.
Can also get breakfast if required. Would definitely recommend.

Great little family friendly hotel

Great little family friendly hotel ideally located for exploring the Bo Kaap area of Cape Town. The hosts were welcoming and very coating allowing us the continue using the facilities after check out but before we needed to leave to catch our flight

Casa del Sonder is a lovely place to stay in a great location.

Casa del Sonder is family owned Boutique Hotel in the BoKaap District of Cape Town, in easy walking distance of the popular Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and the equally popular Long and Kloof Streets full of Bars and Restaurants.
The hotel address on Hudson St, is in a very quiet location and conveniently right opposite a Police Station so security comes with the location.
The Hotel has a small Café on the Ground Floor and six Guest Rooms on the upper floors, the spacious rooms are well appointed with en-suite facilities good showers and Kingsize or Twin Beds.
Breakfast is served on the roof terrace (seasons weather permitting), the Breakfast selection is the usual Fruit, Yoghurt, Cereals etc and a Hot Breakfast selection cooked to order, all very nice.
The staff and the owners are really helpful and knowledgeable on all things ‘Cape Town’ and happy to help with Restaurant Bookings, Directions and the inside track on all manner of Tourist and ‘Local’ information.
Michelle ‘one of the owners’ was easy to contact and very timely with all sorts of email replies to my many questions from time of booking to day of arrival.
Just what you need as an ‘independent’ traveller.
Casa del Sonder is a lovely place to stay in a great location.
