Our stay at WVM was great! The staff and owners were so friendly and gave us much more than we expected! Beautiful and silent place with a super nice beach across the road. My sister and I felt like we were on a retreat!

Warm welcoming place with stunning views out to sea, very peaceful place to stay.
We had such a wonderful time staying at the Manor. Elsa the Landlord accommodated us for one night, we arrived tired from travelling with a 7month old and 2year old and settled peacefully in the hotel.
Beautiful interior, warm and calming atmosphere. Stunning views out to the sea and coastline. Breakfast was delicious and the best we had on our trip.
Would 100% return and recommend.

Worth a trip
Super great privately run hotel! Great breakfast , great view, great staff , parking available , all very safe, you can really recommend!

Good views, poor service
Very strange place. Very poor service - often no-one around at all. Room was okay and the view was really good. The steps into the house are extremely steep and very dangerous both on the way up and the way down. Parking can be very difficult depending on the number of people staying there.

AMAZING AND WILL NOT STAY ANYWHERE ELSE IN SIMONS TOWN
This amazing establishment is a MUST if you wish to visit Simons Town.
A sad story of woe:
Our family of four adults and a 2-year-old were left without accommodation after a disastrous booking which we cancelled.
Then we were rescued by Elsa and her staff.
We arrived, weary, tired, and stressed and received a warm welcome and shown to our rooms at the back of the house facing a beautiful green manicured lawn.
After unpacking and settling in we went down to the beautifully appointed communal lounge for a well-deserved drink to steady our nerves.
The bar is run on the basis of an Honesty Bar and they have a wide selection of wine, whiskey, beer, gin, and mixers as well as an ice-machine.
We arranged for delivery through Uber Eats, as only breakfast is catered for, and enjoyed excellent pizza while taking some time to relax and recharge.
Next morning’s breakfast was AMAZING, beautifully presented and the staff are wonderful and accommodating.
We spend the day exploring the surrounds and off course a visit to the penguins. There is a beautiful cove just across the road from the manor which is perfect for swimming.
Our two nights there were amazing.
The following night we had to do another emergency call to Elsa who managed to help my husband and I with accommodation; again as the other venue we had been booked into in Muizenberg was a disaster and we found ourselves roofless again. Elsa to the rescue for my husband and I; my son, his wife and our 2 year old grandson managed to find accommodation; which meant we were split and lost an evening with family (they had flown out from overseas for a week and we had not seen our grandson since he was 6 months old so time spent with them was extremely precious).
We arrived back and were met with the wonderful ‘night manager’ who helped us to our room, which was the room we had booked out of that morning.
We did not think we would be able to have breakfast as we needed to leave by 8am to get to the airport to collect family; only to be welcomed at 7am by their very accommodating breakfast staff who assisted us with a quick and tasty breakfast.
Elsa, you are a star, your accommodation is beautiful, the view is magnificent and your hospitality to us in our moment of need went over and above.
The only negative was that we could not find any plates to eat our evening food on; thankfully, we managed to find some knives and forks and used the place setting; small side plates; for our food; apologies to the morning breakfast staff who had to re-set. We did not want to eat out of boxes in our rooms, ergo perhaps having some “spare” plates placed snugly away for in-house guests to use (and a cupboard with a secret code for the guests to access )
Please do yourself a favour and try and stay here. You will not be sorry.
It is the perfect place for a weary traveller to unwind and relax in the most beautiful setting.
