Hidden Gem

Lovely stay for hubby's birthday.Alzette is a lovely hostess.
Rooms were equipped with special touches like rusks, coffee, tea and milk. We stayed in 1a and 1b. Keep doors closed in summer as lots of mosquitoes. Croc tour with Stefan was outstanding. Worth while. Def coming back.

Lunch amongst reptiles

We went to the restaurant for lunch. Only one server but she was as efficient as one could be. I had the pizza with smoked crocodile and it was one of the best I've ever tasted. The wine selection was extremely disappointing though. Viewing the collection of snakes and chameleons was a highlight because of the informative gentleman who showed us around.

A perfect family stay, spiced up with crocodiles

This place is truly amazing. Nice surrounding, big rooms, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen. We were late for check in, but our host Alzette was so nice and waited for us, giving us directions. There is a nice restaurant on the premises, where we enjoyed our tasty breakfast. The whole family enjoyed the Crocodile tour. Andrew (I hope I got all the names right) was an amazing guide. So knowledgeable about the crocodiles, speaking with such passion that we were all totally excited, didn't want the tour to end. Our boys loved the experience with the crocodile cage diving. I highly recommend Waterside on Le Bonheur. You'll have a fantastic time here.

Croc dive

What an awesome experience. Set on a lovely farm 15 mins from the lovely town of franschoek. Sign the disclaimer and get taken to the changing rooms. You're given a mask and a second skin and then you get into a cage I a clear pool a fair number of the large reptiles. You spend about half an hour in the cage where there is a pespex window that you can film through. You are surrounded by crocs as basically you are viewed as lunch by them.
Afterwards take the tour through the farm. The young man responsible.for the keeping and welfare of the crocs absolutely knows his subject. Interesting and informative. The poisonous snake display is also worth a visit. Learn about venom and it's effects and understand more about these creatures.
