This hotel is excellent and charming. There's nothing negative to say about it. In fact, I'd go back there again tomorrow. The staff were wonderful, free breakfast pretty good and food in the restaurant is reasonably priced and delicious. I had an all around great stay and Siem Reap is wonderful. If you're hesitant about going there, just do it. The memories you make there will last a lifetime.

off the beaten path on the outskirts and aged
NOTE: During a tour of Cambodia and Vietnam, I stayed at this hotel. It was selected and booked by the travel agency.

The hotel is located quite far outside the center, essentially on the outskirts. Accordingly, the drive to the airport takes some time. The surrounding area is also rather undeveloped, more rural. In travel catalogs, this used to be referred to as an "up-and-coming area." Yes, you can certainly take a TukTuk to the center. However, you can also choose a hotel in the center. I would have chosen the latter had I booked it myself. This hotel was booked by the travel agency. In the end, the location was not that crucial since I arrived in the evening on the first day and went to Angkor Wat on the second day. The next day, I was already traveling onward. There is a small kiosk directly across the street. A few meters towards the main road, there is a Korean and a Chinese supermarket. There are also restaurants in the area if you walk a few minutes along the main road. Which I also did. You can eat there in a local style and at a low cost.
The hotel itself is more like a small oasis. You don't notice much of the unpleasant surroundings and noise. It is well-maintained and very green. Meals are served in the outdoor restaurant. There is also a pool. I did not find it inviting; the water seemed too murky to me. The house has aged. This is evident in the construction style, the materials, etc. The staff is very friendly, especially a young lady with long dark hair (unfortunately, I forgot her name). She was always friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Excellent! Wifi is free and stable, even in the outdoor areas.
A room in the "Deluxe" category was booked for me. This naturally raises expectations. What should I say? If this is Deluxe, then I really do not want to see the standard rooms. Perhaps at the time of the opening, this was once Deluxe standard. It is a bit noisy. When the light switches are operated in the neighboring room, it sounds as if it is in my room. The water in the pipes also rushes quite loudly.
The room was clean in itself, and the bed was too. The bed was comfortable. The room is functionally furnished, fortunately without carpet. The air conditioning works. The bathroom is outdated, not deluxe. The water pressure is good. The windows are single-glazed. Bird lovers who enjoy early morning bird songs will be pleased. There is a safe, and believe it or not, it is securely fixed against theft. I only experienced that in the many hotels on my trip twice!
The breakfast selection is typical for the region and manageable. For vegetarians like me, there is not much choice. One will be full. One can also request a breakfast egg of choice.
Conclusion: It is indeed a small green oasis in a rather uninviting environment. Unfortunately, it is on the outskirts, far from the center and the airport. Therefore, many short-term guests are found here, who are basically only here for Angkor Wat, booked through a travel agency. For these reasons, I would not dine there myself.

Simply the best.
I am just coming to the end of my 3month trip travelling in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia & now in Morocco but this hotel was the one that stands out as my favourite it just ticks all the boxs, lovely welcome from the best staff, spacious room with balcony how wonderful to sit there with my coffee listening to the birds so peaceful, big comfy bed, bedside lights to read, tea/coffee etc kettle, fridge, water brought to rooms each day along with housekeeping, a bath which I love to soak in after long walks, plenty of clean towels, shampoo etc, breakfast included in a fantastic price, breakfast box made up for me when i was going to Angkor watt. The location alittle far out but that was no issue at all i love walking, but the tuk tuk man is there outside thd hotel to take me anywhere i wanted, lovely man & very fair prices. I am in Marrakech right now a place a really love but i would return to Siem Reap tomorrow if i could to this wonderful Hotel. Thankyou for a wonderful stay lovely memories.

A Peaceful Oasis in Siem Reap with Exceptional Hospitality
I had a wonderful stay at Kouprey Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Siem Reap. The hotel is peaceful, surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens, and has a lovely swimming pool that is perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.
The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the breakfast offers a good variety of choices. What made my stay especially memorable was the kindness and friendliness of the staff. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile.
Although the hotel is located in a quiet area away from the busy city center, it is still easy to reach all the main attractions by tuk-tuk. For me, the peaceful atmosphere was one of the best parts of the experience.
Kouprey Hotel offers excellent value for money, and I would gladly stay there again on my next visit to Siem Reap.
