Wonderful

Six beautifully appointed cottages with an amazing view of the mountains and the sea. The cottages have a full kitchen all of the cookware you could possibly need and two bedrooms with queen sized beds. The shower had tons of hot water and the cottage was cozy and warm.

Nice little cottages, friendly staff and good restaurant

We stayed 3 nights in the cottages as a base to mainly explore the Parc National de la Gaspésie which is a 45 min. drive from Cap-Chat.
The cottages are clean, well-equipped and comfortable with a view on the mountains or the seashore. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We ate 3 times at the restaurant, it was really good, I had the best clam chowder ever! In high season it's better to reserve your table ahead of time.
I also recommend to do the kayak expedition on the river, the rate is affordable and it was a good family time.
A nice place to stay in the area.

Can I give them 6 stars???

I am really surprised this place has so little reviews. We’ve spent few days exploring the area and Les Chalet Velmont was an a amazing base.
The attention to details, the way the chalets are prepared and care we have received is something that has gone from this world with the big chains out there...
When they say fully equipped kitchen, they mean EVERYTHING you can imagine, including fondue utensils!
The Chalets have a fireplace and an AC so you are prepared for any temperature outside...
I can’t say enough on how nice the people who run the place are and the type of accommodation the chalets are.
The restaurant is amazing but should be covered under separate review.
Tip: the yellow and purple chalets are facing away from the road and are a bit more quiet. I am a light sleeper and the noise from the road was not bad at all.

What a GREAT and REFRESHING stay...

Six individual cottages along Route 132 on the St. Lawrence Seaway in front of you and the Chic Choc Mountains behind you. The cottages are clean, lots of windows, fireplace and full kitchen. They also have a restaurant on the property (check hours of operation) which was one of our best meals - not bad for 11 guys on motorcycles!! WIFI and cable TV are also provided. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great Stay/Séjour très agréable

A great weeks stay in the “yellow” cottage. Well equipped, clean and comfortable. We had a mountain view and it was exceptional. Location is great for beach walks, local trails as well a the Parc de la Gaspésie, 45 minutes away. Good size for a family, 2 couples or just 2. The upstairs loft is great for reading and relaxing !/ On a passé une très agréable semaine dans le chalet “jeune”. Très bien équipé, propre et comfortable. On avait un vue sur les montagnes exceptionnelles. Bien situé pour les randonnées locals, sur la plage ainsi que au Parc de la Gaspésie (45 minutes). Bonne grandeur pour une famille, 2 couples ou juste 2. Le loft est super pour relaxer et faire la lecture.
