Book this if you love cozy authentic charm and fantastic food!!

The historic cabins have been decorated with attention to detail. They are small, but that is a small work around for the charm and cozy interior of the cabin I was sorry we couldn’t stay longer!
The restaurant was fabulous. Not only delicious but the chef is so talented- the food all comes out a total work of culinary art perfection. My husband and I ordered the homemade bread of the day, carpaccio appetizer and the scallops and risotto entree. All were fabulous and we split the homemade tiramisu- the best we’ve ever had! I can’t recommend this lodge and restaurant enough. The staff are wonderful and I hope to be able to come back someday.

Our stay at the lodge was pleasant. The office and cabins were very cute, rustic, and clean. Staff were competent and respectful. The free pastries for breakfast were horrible, but a nice thought. I appreciated the coffee and creamer set up. The board games available while we waited for a table at dinner were a nice touch. No complaints besides the window on our cabin door was bright and woke us up early and the fireplace got super Smokey inside our cabin.

Cabin was great, clean, well maintained, comfy bed and couch. So nice and quiet outside, a great place to just relax.

So noisy. A tiny room

Colin Forsyth, Managing Partner, is guilty of mis-selling Strom Mountain Lodge.
The noise from the highway in room no 14 is unbearable. The Property Manager Corey Fraser said that they warn potential guests about the noise on their website but I couldn't find it. The warning must be well hidden.
Our room was tiny and dark and quite the worst I can remember.
The double bed is jammed against the wall so one person cannot get out of bed without waking up the other.
The tub is not full size.
There is no privacy as guests frequently walked (or ran) past the front of no. 14.
The room is not serviced for the second night.
Corey Fraser was basically disinterested in my complaints because we had booked through booking.com.
This is not a helpful attitude.
Avoid this overpriced place
