The hotel has some clear strengths, but also some weaknesses.
The reception as well as the check-out were uncomplicated and friendly. The room was large and clean, as was the bathroom.
Unfortunately, there were some comfort issues that affected the stay. The double bed was clearly too small, and the pillows were not particularly comfortable. As a result, the night’s rest was not optimal. In addition, there was a low humming noise in the room all night. When one laid their head on the pillow, the noise was even noticeable in bed. The cause could possibly have been a technical system like air conditioning, a compressor, or something similar.
In the bathroom, some things seem a bit improvised: The sliding door does not close properly, and the showerhead is poorly mounted due to the plastic covering of the shower.
The pool area seems a bit dreary, although it is worth mentioning that there is supervision present.
The lobby could also use a refresh – it feels somewhat like it is from the 80s or 90s and is not particularly inviting.
Unfortunately, the dinner at the restaurant was disappointing. In contrast, the breakfast was really good, and the service in the morning was very attentive and friendly.
Conclusion: A hotel with a convenient location, large and clean rooms, as well as a good breakfast. However, some areas, especially sleep comfort, technical noises, bathroom details, and the atmosphere, should be improved.

Better to go to the Auberge des Battures

Effectivement notre établissement est situé dans le centre de Chicoutimi où l'on retrouve de tout sans avoir besoin de prendre
sa voiture (restaurants, centres commerciaux,etc..) L'auberge des Battures est davantage en villégiature.
