Wonderful owners, comfortable setup

Very friendly family, great breakfasts, easy to get around town. Great to have a clearn, warm place like home on a cold, windy, Churchill day. Recommend Hannah's artwork if you want a keepsake from Churchill. Even saw an enormous red fox on the front lawn.
Amazing Wifi/Internet quality compared to other places in town.

Great last minute find

When the train was cancelled, I had to find overnight accommodation in Churchill before my Learning Vacation started at the Churchill Northern Studies Centre. Don returned my email promptly and I was able to get into my room on the morning I arrived. This B&B was clean and bright and had everything I needed including a clock radio bringing in CBC Winnipeg. I concur with the other reviews in highly recommending this B&B.

Polar bear country

This B-an-B, right in the center of things, gets you started for special 'Churchill' adventures -- like finding the bears, white foxes, northern lights and native art (painting and carvings)... the ice and the Bay...
It was many years ago I visited; but strong memories of hearty breakfasts round the corner and drinking coffee in the library, with good reading stuff. Though this was the sub-artic (frozen north), I was always comfortable and ready for outings by lunch time...
Don was a good host: affable and generous, kind and fun to be with... and I much preferred his modest low-cost accommodation; not needing silly frills on holiday.
Churchill was an open community -- just bang on the door and shout your name when entering anywhere...
There's a small hospice and school, library, banks and eating places... or the one big store to get your own stuff...
I had three weeks up there, away from everything; but still too short to explore and escape modern times... as great antidote to modern life!

A perfect Hostel/B&B

Don and his family are perfect hosts for this simple and affordable lodging facility. Always friendly and hard working hosts. The breakfast is at the Gypsy Restaurant nearby. In a town of necessarily high prices, the Polar Bear B & B is a great find.

Dont hesitate to book there

If you travel in group and manage to book the entire place it is ideal! There are 2 small bathrooms (with a shower each, hair dryer and soap and shampoo provided), a small common area (with a table, 4 chairs, water and glasses, snacks) and 3 bedrooms (1 big one with 2 single bed and 1 bunk bed and 2 small/tiny bedrooms with 2 single bed). If you carry a lot of stuff with you be prepared to leave it in the common area since there is no storageroom in the bedroom.
The place is clean, good service and has great rates! You need to send the money as you do the booking.
With your stay you get a voucher for the Gypsie Bakery which include a drink and a warm breakfast (eggs, bacon, toast, potatoes).
The place is right behind the main street so close to everything. It has free Wi-Fi but it is very slow and working on and off. You might as well use it at Gypsies.
I would recommend this B&B. It has everything you need. If you want something fency this isnt the place. This isnt well isolated so you hear everyone snoring and the bed arent very confortable (unless you like it hard). But that being said, this is one of the most affordable one in Churchill and has a great value for the price.
