This was my first time at a Home2 Suites hotel. This hotel is very well named since it truly felt like home. Everyone was very helpful, the room was very well equipped, large and comfortable. The breakfast had both hot and cold options which were delicious. I highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely put this chain on the top of list for future choices.

The staff were great, but the room was a bit run-down with crappy synthetic sheets that wouldn't stay on the bed. The in-room coffee, as well as the complimentary coffee in the lobby, was so weak; it may as well have been hot water with milk.

Decent place, good breakfast
Stayed here for almost a week. It’s a decent hotel in a good location and close to the highway/airport if that is important to your stay.
My complaint is the overall cleanliness. The room was not very clean when we checked in. There was hair all over the bed, bathroom, shower, and the toilet seat was not clean.
We also did not get a cleaning the entire time we stayed (almost a week). When brought up to the front desk staff, it sounds like a miscommunication between housekeeping. This was a bit annoying due to the length of our stay, it would have been nice to have a refresh and garbages taken out. (Only 1 light refresh the entire stay, I will add).
The room was smaller than expected, it would have been nice to have a stove cooktop for cooking our own meals. It was a bit cramped for 2 of us, and there is a table (that you have to move out) but only 1 chair… so we were left eating on the couch. The pictures made the room look a lot larger than it is. But I guess we should have booked a larger suite. Anyways, the hotel was good overall. Some issues with noisy guests, but it seemed to be very busy at the time. Breakfast was great! Lots of hot and cold options. There are nice walking trails close by in the ravine.

Excellent Spacious Rooms and a Very Comfortable Stay
We stayed at Home2 Suites by Hilton Edmonton South for one night on August 2, 2026, and overall had a very pleasant experience.
Our room was very spacious, exceptionally well equipped, and thoughtfully designed for a comfortable stay. The layout made excellent use of the available space, both in the room and the bathroom. Everything felt modern, practical, and well organized.
One of the biggest highlights was the in-room kitchen. Having a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, and a complete set of dishes makes this hotel particularly suitable for guests staying for several days or even weeks. It is clearly designed with long-stay guests in mind, while still being very comfortable for a short visit.
The room was also very well decorated and maintained, and the cleanliness was top-notch. Everything was spotless when we arrived, which made a great first impression.
The front-desk staff were another positive part of our stay. They were friendly, professional, and welcoming, making check-in and our overall interaction with the hotel staff easy and pleasant.
One Area for Improvement — Breakfast Setup
The one area I feel could be improved is the breakfast setup. In my opinion, vegetarian and non-vegetarian items should be displayed separately.
During our visit, the bacon and ham were placed under the same display area as other breakfast items, with some of the items positioned very close to or touching them. In addition, the smell from the meat carried over to the surrounding breakfast items.
A more clearly separated arrangement for vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods would make the breakfast experience more comfortable for guests who prefer vegetarian options or avoid meat.
Other than this, we really enjoyed our short stay. The spacious and thoughtfully designed room, excellent cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and friendly staff made this a very comfortable hotel experience.
We would definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it to others, especially those looking for a hotel suitable for both short and extended stays.

Cannot recommend this hotel enough
Location - convenient- close to highway , about halfway between airport and center of Edmonton; easy to find , plenty of parking . I chose this hotel for a one night stay , Enroute to Jasper natl park after landing at YEG relatively late , and it worked out great

Breakfast- excellent. For the category of hotel this place is in , the breakfast they offered was probably the best I’ve had… the quality was decent , and there was a good variety of hot and cold food items to make for a decent and hearty breakfast.
