The food is good but nothing else is.
I knew that I was not staying at a premium motel when I booked but the destination did not have a lot of choices. I booked directly though their own website and it looked okay. However, when we arrived it looked completely uninviting and quite run down. Not just run down, but messy too. Reception is very unwelcoming to put offish. Room was clean but in rough shape. The bathroom had a new tub and shower but the toilet bowl had multiple cracks and wa not secured to the floor. The vanity was completely worn out and the beds are old and worn. A huge puzzle was the two TV one mounted directly over the other and no programs to watch unless you use you own personal account. The beach front does not exist and there is nothing to do there or within walking distance. The restaurant has physically seen better days but the staff was good and the burgers and fish and chips were really very good. This is certainnnly not a first choice place to stay.

This motel is well past its best before date (perhaps the 1940's?).
The room we were assigned and stupid enough to stay in as disgusting and decrepit. The motel owners are preying on misinformation and tired travelers.
The room had basically zero security, was decrepit, stained, dirty and a rip off.
SPEND THE EXTRA $20, $40, $60 OR EVEN $200 TO STAY ANYWHERE ELSE

Nothing Good Here.
Stay away ... There appears to be a couple of more or less positive, reviews on Google, but they must be buying them. No way this is currently a 3.9 rating (and I have stayed in lots of older places) They have cleaned the basics, tub and toilet and sink were ok ...but stuff was falling apart. Rest of the room: walls, windows, sills, AC unit was filthy and busted up, room is not secure (windows don't close properly). (I'll give them that the bedding and towels seemed clean). We stayed only because we had a long day already. No where near a 115$+ a night hotel. Better options out there...even at that price point.

The first warning sign was when I asked the lady at the desk if I could see the room first, she said "No". I said "why"? She said "you don't want to waste my time and I don't want to waste yours"! We'll I was going to say forget it, but my husband came into the office. I told him, but he said take it! He was very tired. The window was broken and you could not lock it! We happened to have a couple of items to make the window as secure as we could. Outside light didn't work. There was no sink in the bathroom but one in the room with the beds. No updates to the place at all. I do not recommend this place

Club Sandwich turns out to be a BLT
I've been travelling through this town for years and this restaurant intrigued so I stopped. I chose a Club Sandwich. In stead of a Club Sandwich, they served me a BLT with some Kraft cheese. I only realized this when a quarter of my sanwich slipped out of my hands and I realized there wasn't any chicken. I called over the waitress and let her know. She peaked at my last quarter of my sandwich, saw no chicken, and said she would tell the chef. I didn't hear anything back from her until I reached the cash. I asked what did the chef say. She asked if I was certain if there wasn't any chicken. The chef said he had put chicken in the sandwich. I replied, why would I lie. She offered me a $2 discount, and I took it. I was between a hard place and a rock. I did eat everything. The plate was plain, sandwich and fries. No coleslaw. The place is clean, service is very friendly, good atmosphere, but the question "are you sure there wasn't any chicken" was a turn off. Would I advise people not to go there, no. I think that this was a one off. It happens. But it happened to me, so, I will not be stopping there again.
