It was a great stay, from the room to the pool and the helpful staff. Braydon at the front desk was helpful and gave us great ideas on what the must see places in town were. Our first time down east is shaping out to be a very special time. Thank you

3 stars due to safety issues and mechanics.
Positive: The hotel staff was pleasant. Food is excellent. Rooms are clean. Negative: The first night we had a room with a broken A/C which leaked. We were able to switch rooms the next day without issue. Sadly the second night, my 2022 Honda pilot was broken into and stripped of my dashcam and the car wiring. I asked staff if they had video coverage of parking lot and was told the cameras don’t record. I found that to be absurd for a 5 star hotel. I would expect a 5 star hotel to secure all areas of the property. We are now in our 3rd night. Hopefully it goes better.

I’m truly sorry, though, that your stay was overshadowed by these issues. Having to move rooms because of a leaking A/C is frustrating enough, but to then have your vehicle broken into and damaged while staying with us is understandably very upsetting. I can appreciate why you would be disappointed, especially when you were told that the parking lot cameras were not recording.
While we can’t undo what happened, please know that we take your concerns about the security of our property very seriously. Your comments have been shared with our management team so we can take a closer look at our parking lot security and camera coverage.

This is a nice hotel in the city, and one of three that I would consider upscale for the area. Having stayed at all of them in the past, I would say it ranks up there with the best, especially because of the breakfast dining restaurant area and the regular steakhouse restaurant that is on site and excellent. The parking is controlled by a parking gate system and is somewhat constrained but adequate. The hotel is near the downtown lots of other restaurants and across from the Avenir center, which is just a two minute walk.

Nice and clean but…..
The good thing is we found it to be extremely clean. The pool is actually 9’ deep which again is great.
Now the bad, room was extremely small, and it was to the point it was hard moving about the room. Whoever designed the bathroom must have been an a tiny 6 year old, because that’s about who could sit comfortably on the toilet.
Personally we will probably stay elsewhere next year.

Excellent service, hotel updates needed
The hotel's service was very attentive and friendly. The personal touch of leaving handwritten welcome notes from housekeeping was appreciated. Location is convenient to Avenir Centre and many other amenities. Our room was very clean and spacious. Service requested for an A/C issue was responded to quickly and solved. Breakfast, though not complimentary, was delicious and high quality and served with a smile.
A few things to note and/or suggest: (1) An improved drop-off, check-in parking area. Main Street was blocked off in front of the hotel for an event, with no detour signs or temporary parking spaces. This necessitated driving around the streets surrounding the hotel to find a place to park just to check in. (2) A large sign in the lobby would be helpful to direct guests to where the elevators are located, especially when your hands are full of luggage. (3) Daily housekeeping such as towel refills, light cleaning, trash bins emptied, was NOT performed, though it can be requested. This should be clearly stated in the room somewhere. We were out for the entire day and left a tip for housekeeping staff which we expected, but came back to an un-serviced room. On a positive note, when we requested service, they were quick to send housekeeping to our room. (4) Additional closet space — there was only one small hutch for hanging clothes in the double-queen room. At least hooks should be added to the room, especially near the door, for jackets, etc., if not another hutch entirely. (5) The room was very large, but had only one lounge chair; another would have been perfect... especially as a couple if you want to order in a meal and don't want to sit on the bed. (6) Wall sockets next to our beds were very loose and need replacing; plugs kept falling out of them. The are other sockets of course but the ones are used most often, especially using a CPAP machine next to bed, phone chargers. (7) The elevators were extremely slow and quite small; one out the three was out of order during our stay. We ended up just taking the stairs. Keep this in mind if mobility issues are a concern.
