Clean decent sized room. Perfect for a stay prior to catching the ferry.
Breakfast was mainly muffins and fruit, but it was free.

Nanaimo is a wonderful place to visit!

Loved this Travel Lodge, perfect place for exploring Nanaimo! It was close to downtown and the water. The lodge was clean and staff was cheerful and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable with all that you would expect and need.

The reception staff was amazing! Super warm, respectful and treated guests with importance and promptness. Rooms were comfy. It would help to have some more hangers though! Breakfast was ok, nothing hot except tea / coffee. Not sure why you guys would serve super cold boiled eggs though! Would have been nicer to have toast and waffels etc.

TV didn’t work. There was no Wi-Fi. And when they say breakfast included., they mean, three piece pieces of bread and one English muffin as the options.
Staff were friendly and polite but could only apologize when asking about wifi, tv and if this is all that is offered as the “free breakfast”.
For breakfast- go down the street to Magoos. Excellent breakfast. Their french toast is deadly.

The only issue I really had was the fact that the AC unit wasn’t really placed in the wall in an ideal spot in order to cool the room. I also wish the breakfast was a little more substantial, but I was very pleased with the fact I could go in early before the “official” time because I had to leave for the ferry so early. I would definitely stay here again, because of the amazing help and awesome restaurant recommendations from the girl at the front. It’s also perfectly situated for some nice walking to the sea wall and shops and downtown isn’t too far away!
