Great fishing trip
Great place to have a clean warm cabin, rent a boat and catch fish in a beautiful lake. I highly recommend it. Staff are friendly and the scenery is relaxing. I hope to return many times in the years to come

Nice family retreat place
Just finished our small family vacation and this was our first stop. It's pretty much what you can expect from a cottage - full kitchen, bedrooms, living room with TV, country feel. The lake view was fantastic, the host is very helpful and reasonable, George usually shows up within 20 minutes if we have an issue (no biggies, facility related). The kids had a great time with their bbq dinners and myself some quiet TV moments after dark. The location is also very convenient within 5 minutes to Kingscott Lake/Algonquin south entrance)

The WORST Experience EVER!
If I could give less ratings I would.
We stayed here in 2019 and let me tell you about this nightmare.
The owner right off the bat was extremely unreasonable. Before making the reservation we had told her how many people and cars were coming and she agreed (over the phone).
After we showed up and I guess she saw the type of cars we were driving she started an issue and said that we owe her more money because there were too many cars (when there wasn't) she was just money hungry.
Then at about 10PM that night she went up to us and told us we had to go to our cabins and weren't allowed outside (basically that we had a curfew). Are you kidding me we are 30 year old adults, how dare she tell us we have to go inside. So we followed her rules and started singing along to cottage music INSIDE the cottage not being overly lout this was at about 1030PM. She comes knocking on our windows and doors and telling us we need to be quiet. At this point we have had with this lady.
The next night we decided to go across the cottage to the beach which was a bit further from the cottage areas to have a bonfire at around 8PM. We wanted to start early and be away from the cottage so that she wouldnt bother us and we would not make any noise for the other cottages. At about 830PM she came down to the bonfire and told us to be quiet and put the fire out. AT 830PM!!!!! We had no control over our trip and felt like we weren't allowed to do anything.
During a pandemic we are giving her our business and for her to treat us like we were a bunch of little kids completely ruined out time spent here. It was absolutely crazy and the owner is out of her mind.
The fire alarms were all expired, the kitchen stoves were barely working and there was a mouse in our room at one point. The ONLY good thing about this place was the view.
I highly recommend staying FAR AWAY from this place since the owner is just money hungry and will ruin your time if you look younger than 35.

The area was beautiful. Great view of lake and mountains. Cottage was way smaller than advertised. We had aunts in our cottage due to the cleanliness as well as dirty dishes. Tv didn’t work and no wifi even thou advertised. Playground was old, rusted, and not maintained - Slides were broken. As a parent myself I would never allow my child to play on that facility. We paid close to $1000 to stay here which did not include the canoes, sauna, firewood. To sum it al up we were very unhappy with our stay and service and would not go back.
