We checked in after a tiring flight itinerary just wanting some rest but a large family group checking in at the same time thought it was appropriate to let their young children play loudly in the hallway outside our room. Since courtesy and consideration seem to be dying concepts in today's world, we asked reception to move us to a different room and they cheerfully obliged. Peace and quiet achieved.

Unmatched location, poor material selections and growing pains

The location is unmatched by any airport hotels that we have experienced, as its mere steps from the terminal and fewer to the parking garage; all within indoor walkways. As you would expect from an Alt Hotel, the design is pleasently modern and clean; however, there are issues; some annoying, some more serious. The edging used between the concrete floor and carpeted areas, or which there are several, are high enough to impact your ability to roll your luggage; they repeatedly stopped my 4-wheeler in its tracks and the choice of small diameter drain under the bathroom sinks results in water not draining and pooling if you run the tap at more than a trickle. With respect to growing pains, the automatic doors between the terminal and gangway to the hotel almost never worked, requiring you to manage your luggage and a heavy fire door at the same time. The largest issue is a foul odour that at times emits from the carpet, likely a result of new fibres or the glue used to secure it as the hotel is only 6 month old. We had to move off of the 7th floor on our first night due to the odour and the glass gangway, (after a day in the sun) was most unpleasant on our second night. I suspect time will resolve this issue, but be aware in the short term.

Room was great! Bed was super comfortable. I appreciated the convenience of just walking up the walkway to the hotel after arriving late with baggage etc.. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic!! Excellent service and food was delicious. Slightly pricier for the rooms than I’d prefer, but the convenience made it worth it for our family.

It’s exactly what you want in an airport hotel. Very close to the airport with a good restaurant and a bar. The rooms are also comfortable and well appointed.

The pizza was excellent. The bed and pillows were very comfortable but there is a constant white noise which couldn’t be identified. It could be a bother to a light sleeper but we weren’t disturbed by the noise.
