Perfect location for visiting the Fjord-du-Saguenay National Park

Positive points:
Room 304 renovated, comfortable, located on a corner so 2 windows. A negative point is the ventilation that turns on at the same time as the bathroom light, which is very noisy when brushing your teeth and doing other tasks besides taking a shower.
Functional and quiet air conditioner (However, you need an eye mask, because the numbers indicating the temperature are very bright.)
Large functional kitchen allowing you to save on meals
Grocery store right next door
Areas for improvement:
Breakfast: Very limited selection and small portions. There was almost no strawberry yogurt left (the only kind). There were only oranges as fruit (too acidic, they give me ulcers). There could be apples too, in short at least 2 choices for each category.
For an establishment known for being affordable, $185 per night is expensive for a shared kitchen where you have to cook yourself. Note that this price was the lowest possible, with no possibility of cancellation.
Very worn stairs to access the 2nd floor. The entrance and the hallway need some love.
The rooms are renovated and I hope the rest of the inn will be too.
I will definitely go back to do the Via ferrata Odyssée that I dream of doing!

Loved staying here, the rooms are so well designed, great bathroom and very comfortable bed. We loved the communal kitchen, we had food with us for the evening, they aren’t any restaurants around. In the evening we ate at the kitchen island with 2 other couples and had the most interesting conversations. Everything to make breakfast is set out. Eggs, milk and juice were in the fridge. This place is the initiative of 4 youngish people, they have to be congratulated!!

Conveniently located next to park entrance, very clean and quiet, self check-in, but no staff to help when needed.

Everything was great except I had a little issue with the check in. The code information was marked as spam in my account and it took a little bit of time to connect with the hotel. If you do not get an email with your codes check your spam/junk folder of your email! This information is not part of the welcome email.

Self-check is all in French and very confusing
The room didn't lock and was very noisy
There was no internet connection information, so I couldn't use it.
It is a hostel so a lot of transit and noise.
