The pool and hotel grounds are absolutely stunning, beautifully landscaped, and impeccably maintained. The location is excellent, with just a 15-minute walk to downtown through a gorgeous park. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The overal atmosfére is vibrant and happy.
We drive here from Calgary every year, sometimes twice a year, to relax, enjoy the amazing pool, and explore the beautiful Shuswap area. It has become one of our favorite places, and we always look forward to coming back.

Needs Improvement

We stayed at the Hilltop Inn, Salmon Arm and I will never stay there again. The beds were so bad I couldn't sleep and neither could my son nor his wife. The beds are only doubles and in most places today they are queens. Went and bought an air mattress and put it on the floor so one of us could sleep the second night. Tried even sleeping across the bed but it still hurt my back. Wrecked our weekend there. In the bathroom there is no place to put soap or anything in the shower except the floor and I have trouble getting to the floor so never showered. We had reservations for 3 and they only gave us towels for 2. Their pool does look nice but because off lack of sleep and an extremely sore back and things we needed to attend, did not use it. The AC unit was very loud even on low setting so it was almost impossible to sleep because of the noise. I will say that it worked well, it was just too loud and probably could do with replacing. Oh, I will say that the one lady I spoke with at the front desk, she was very nice. My son signed us out and when they asked how our stay was and he tried to tell them they did not seem interested. Do not ask if you truly do not care. It is more money than a much nicer place we stayed at when we were in Salmon Arm two months earlier and that place also gave us free breakfast. The Hilltop does not give you breakfast. Unfortunately when we tried to book at the first place for this stay they had no vacancies.

Property and room were clean and presentable, for sure. Priced a bit high, given the age of the building and it could use a pretty strong makeover - but also aware it was the Blues Festival that weekend (which is not why we were there).

The room was clean. It was a quick check in. The family loved the outdoor pool.
I was disappointed there was no breakfast as there was in the past. The restaurant smelled delicious.
There is no gym available.
I did ask for a cot as an extra bed. We waited- it never came. I went down to inquire and the new clerk said there was no information passed on at shift change that we wanted a cot. He was super kind and brought one up immediately. We were lucky there was on available.
All staff were polite.

The pool was amazing the kids absolutely loved it! The hot tub was very dirty with debris. The ice maker was useless and there was a sign saying not to fill up your coolers when in all honesty you could never it took about 5 minutes to get my cup full for a drink. No coffee in the lobby which was very weird.
