Beautiful house with character

We stayed one night here and found our room very nice. So I was surprised when I read the many negative reviews here.
Our room was lovingly decorated and the bathroom seemed to be freshly renovated. Yeah, cracking some of the stairs to the house, but that's just the charm.
The lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful, the cleaner too.
If you have a light sleep, however, be careful with a room in the main building - you can already hear the trucks driving to the ferry.
At the house there is ample parking, which is a plus in the rather tense parking situation in Tadoussac.

There’s a reason this place is inexpensive

Stayed here with my family last summer (2 adults and 1 teen).
Pluses: Triple room was a good size. Owner was friendly. Location was good. Room had coffee maker, fridge and toaster - enough for us to make a simple breakfast.
Minuses: No air conditioning and windows were old (original to the house), hence were either painted shut or would not open properly. During the heat of the summer, it was very difficult to sleep at night. The entire building is very old and needs a renovation.

Room that needs a lot of love!

Room for 2 to 4 people, $200/night without lunch, without towel bar, with clogged bath, bedding that has done its time and bed cover that does not smell clean.

Far too loud! Not slept all night

We didn’t sleep all night. Room facing the road with cars and trucks going up the coast all night (boarding at 200m and passage 24h/24h).No air conditioning and we could not open the windows! Do not do as we do, choose a hotel far from the main road.

Friendly but too noisy

Receptionist very friendly but the location is so close to the main roads and the continuous noise of the ferry that forget the quietness you would expect in a place like Tadoussac. My room was very hot and without AC, bedding rather old fashioned with likely mites as I woke up with bites around my neck the following day.
