High tea at the Empress

Very nice hotel in Victorian style overlooking the harbor of Victoria.We were here for the high tea and were really pampered.Josef was our resort who poured the tea and also gave some facts and also had a nice sense of humor.Especially for my girlfriend a top experience that she wanted to do for years.In the background a woman plays piano which created a cozy romantic atmosphere.

Historic Charm Meets Modern Luxury

We had a fantastic stay at the Fairmont Empress. Check-in was seamless, parking was easy and convenient, and our room was absolutely perfect. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a wonderful night's sleep.
A special thank you to Max in Concierge, who was amazing. His dining recommendations were spot on and helped make our visit even more memorable. We also loved the hotel's rich history and unique character. The blend of luxury, service, and historical charm makes the Fairmont Empress a truly special place to stay. We can't wait to return!

We had the “fairmount gold” package and I would strongly recommend. The staff were so helpful and kind. The packages includes so many additions and is was worth the upgrade. The property has been renovated and is simply the best in Victoria.

Impressive hotel on first impact, small room for improvement.

Lovely historic hotel, first impact was beautiful with views over the harbour and great walking location close to where you can get whale watching trips, float planes.
Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was good with a great variety.
Beautiful surrounding gardens and flower displays.
Few minor points for improvement,
Room was okay, but the bathroom was small to the point of being quite pokey considering the room type was a suite.
Gym was a big disappointment, really small, ten people would fill it, no air con and people that go to the pool area and spa have to walk through the gym in their bathrobes. Which was uncomfortable and a little embarrassing.
All in all, great hotel and ideal for a 2-3 day stop over in Victoria.
