Overall, the Strathcona is a nice little hotel in a great, central location for a decent, competitive price. My only complaint is about the bath towels. They were those super small ones that I could barely fit around my body (and I'm a small-medium size woman). They were also fairly threadbare as though they had been used, washed, bleached, and dried roughly 10,000 times.

Comfortable bed but check noise levels next door

Very comfortable bed, great lighting so you can read, practical soft light turns on in bathroom, but be warned! Friday night the pub nearby had a dance/music throng till 0100 hours as our room that side, so no sleep till after that. So check before you book!! But is near to a great cafe and croissants.

Overnight at Victoria

We were so thankful that Dharna upgraded our room from queen to king suite and gave us an early check-in without extra fee. She was so nice and welcoming. We’re also glad that we were able to leave our bag after we check out with the help of Anja. It was so convenient for us to explore the city with ease. The only thing that we did not like in the room was how loud the AC was that we had to turn it off in the middle of the night because we could not sleep. But overall, our experience was great and will be staying here again when we come back to Victoria.

Excellent hotel!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Strathcona Hotel. It was close to everything, a very comfortable old hotel with updated facilities. We would easily stay there again! Highly recommend.

Strathcona

Not the best option for the price. No upsides other than the location near the airport. The decor is dated, and the air conditioner barely cools the room. The room is poorly equipped.
