Hotel for quick stopover
The room was basic but clean enough. A slight smell of old cigarettes was just noticeable but not too bad, even though it was the ‘Delux Suite’.
The traffic noise was too loud from the street below, especially as the Almaty drivers liked to use their horns a lot!
The shower only had cold water and there was no shower gel, only hand wash.
The bathroom was also clean enough too, but looked more like a toilet you’d find in a public supermarket.
The staff were very polite and helpful, with the young chap sitting at the reception desk rushed to help carry our luggage up 4 flights of stairs.
The young lady also lent us her personal phone charger too as we didn’t have the adapter to fit the plug sockets.
All in all, it's an ok place to stay for a night stop over

Spacious Rooms and Good Location
The property is easy to locate on Yandex, though it’s worth noting that there are multiple hotels in the city named “Mildom.” This particular hotel has two buildings within the same block, which may be a bit confusing at first.
Guests staying at Mildom Premium will need to walk outside to a nearby hotel for breakfast. While there is a wide selection, the offerings are somewhat repetitive. There is no elevator, but I appreciated that the staff kindly relocated me from the 4th floor to the 2nd floor the following day.
In terms of amenities, the bathroom has no bidet and the shower heater was occasionally unreliable. Reception service could also be improved, as one staff member seemed unapproachable, and another continued smoking outside despite seeing me waiting, only assisting me several minutes later.
