Excellent hotel with lots of facilities, great staff and fab manager.
Excellent hotel in a fab location a small island off Diani beach. The rooms are large and clean. The staff are all amazing Alex by the pool was brilliant friendly and helpful, Ali, James, Erick, Celine, Anthan, Nassoro and Yvonne are excellent at their jobs . Honestly all the staff are a credit to your hotel. The beach is lovely, the pool is a good size with a nice jacuzzi. The food at the hotel was great we were able to eat at the Italian, teppanyaki, BBQ and the main restaurant which is Al a carte on our half board option. Cocktails at the sunset bar were delicious and we went there every night. The atmosphere at the hotel was chilled, relaxed with a boutique feel.
There is lots to do on the island they have lots of games around the pool area (connect 4, Jenga, pool, table tennis etc) they offer scuba tasters in the pool for everyone. Lots of excursions to choose from. The manager Andrea is excellent, warm, approachable, friendly and always around to make sure everyone is happy. It was good to see a manager so personally involved in his hotel. We would definitely come back to this hotel.

Excellent
I am on the island. It is wonderful. Everything here is wonderful: the rooms, the location, the service, the restaurants, and the atmosphere. It is a top. We are surrounded by nature. Don't hesitate for a moment if you want a wonderful holiday in Kenya.

A Tropical Paradise!
The week we spent relaxing on Chale Island, after ten days of safari along dusty tracks and early-morning starts, was the perfect way to round off our holiday in Kenya.
Imagine a lush, unspoilt tropical island where the rhythm of the day is dictated by nature, whether it is the tides, the wind or the calls of the families of baboons and colobus monkeys that live in the forest.
The resort is nestled in the forest while still offering all the comforts a traveller could wish for. The staff are always friendly, attentive and happy to help, while the manager is present and genuinely attentive to guests’ needs. The food is of an exceptional standard, with a great variety of options at every meal and no fewer than five restaurants to choose from.
Our spacious and comfortable room also had a private veranda overlooking the ocean, while the resort boasts a beautiful white-sand beach, a coral reef just steps away and a wide range of activities offered every day, all of which can be booked with a simple click through the dedicated app.
Last but not least, the resort places great emphasis on sustainability and respect for the environment.

A dreamlike island with the best service, in a fascinating country!
After an unforgettable multi-day safari, we spent several days on Chale Island - the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation on a beautiful part of our Kenya trip.
Before we get to the hotel, we definitely want to mention our travel coordinator JT Julius Tact Travel. Our entire trip and safari was simply organized magnificently, and the two day trips that we took from Chale Island with Julius and his team were also absolute highlights. Thanks to their local knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm, we were able to observe an incredible number of animals and get to know places that we would never have discovered on our own. However, the many warm encounters with the local people will also remain particularly memorable for us. You can feel that Julius and his team do their work with passion.
The Chale Island Resort thrilled us from the very first moment. The entire property is beautiful, modern, and very well-maintained. We stayed in a Tower Suite, which was ideal for our family of four with children aged 8 and 13. The suite was very spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay, from good air conditioning and a refrigerator to two showers and toilets. The daily service and room cleaning were also excellent; everything was always clean, and whatever was used was always generously restocked.
However, we were most impressed by the atmosphere on the island. Although the hotel was well-booked, the guests were spread out so pleasantly across the entire area that we often had the feeling of being almost alone on the island. Whether on the beach, at the pool, at the bar, or while taking a walk around the island – exactly this feeling of peace and privacy made our stay so special.
A big compliment also goes to the entire staff. All the employees were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and warm. You really feel welcome and notice that hospitality is lived here.
And one more personal tip: Definitely visit the Sundown Bar as often as possible! The atmosphere there at sunset is simply unique, you are well taken care of, just wonderful!
We can unreservedly recommend both The Sands at Chale Island and JT Julius Tact Travel; we had a great time full of fascinating experiences and definitely plan to return.
