Superb
Stunning view at the night. Room was specious.Very big, clean and nice. The staff were really friendly and they upgraded our room for free . Pool and spa was good as well especially after a long business day.breakfast had a wide range of selection.

Great hotel for business/ pleasure at Quanzhou but even better service
Stayed on last day of May and found it easily a 5/5 experience and probably one of the best Hiltons for quality of service/ overall environment of the hotel. I debated between Hilton Quanzhou Riverside and the Intercontinental and ended up picking the Hilton and didn't regret it. You step in and you really feel like this is a great environment and staff really take pride in maintaining a high standard service/ environment. It's a great location for people who want to unwind after a day of sightseeing.
What really makes it 5 star for me is the service level:
Checked in with Lia at the front desk who was super efficient and greeted us with a warm smile that felt genuinely welcoming for guests traveling after a long morning. She processed everything quickly and explained any questions I had. Lia was also the person that checked me out when I needed a change of card on file and was equally pleasant and efficient at her role, just overall just an amazing asset to their hotel.
Rooms themselves were high quality, clean, and well maintained. Mine overlooked the river which is a nice touch. I often point out noise in reviews since I'm a light sleeper and often travel for both business/ pleasure and hotels often have noise (e.g., thin walls/ between rooms with double doors/ hall way noise you can hear through the door), but here there's absolutely nothing but good things to say, here rooms were very quiet even in a well occupied hotel floor on floor 16.
I had to dial the front desk 3 times to check breakfast times, ask for a refresh of towels, and ask a question. Each time at different hours and each time the call was picked up immediately without a single additional ring tone and no automated voice system beforehand. Towels were quickly delivered by staff.
They offered a fruit platter delivered to your room (could be for Hilton status members or maybe everyone I didn't ask) which was fresh fruits of different cuts standard in higher end Chinese hotels of international chains.
Executive lounge at Hiltons are actually a rarity these days post pandemic so refreshing to see one. I've seen one in Hilton Zurich and one here, both were nice this one I thought was a step better with light refreshments.
The pool was really well kept but I unfortunately didn't have time to swim in it other than to stop by and see it.
Had the breakfast which was in a great setting and really enjoyable with a bunch of dishes typical of Hiltons/ Marriotts/ Intercontinentals in China.
Location is great for someone that's coming from the train station and spending a day or two in the city. Highly recommend for anyone staying in Quanzhou.

Spacious rooms, great river view – just pray the weather matches whatever season the AC thinks it is

The hotel sits in a somewhat awkward spot on the south bank of the Jin Jiang River, positioned between the old city center and Jinjiang. Public transportation is virtually nonexistent – you'll be relying entirely on ride-hailing apps to go anywhere.
On the plus side, the immediate area has decent dining and entertainment options within walking distance, and being close to the river means pleasant evening walks along the waterfront are possible. For business travelers with meetings in the Jinjiang industrial areas, the location works; for tourists wanting easy access to Quanzhou's UNESCO sites in the old city, expect 20-30 minute rides each way.

The property embraces a straightforward business style aesthetic – clean lines, functional spaces, no-nonsense design. It's not trying to be a boutique luxury property, and that's fine.
High-floor rooms facing the river offer genuinely nice views of the Jin River and cityscape. Important tip: request a river-view room and specifically avoid units facing the adjacent apartment complex – the outlook is significantly less appealing and you might have privacy concern for opening the curtains.

* Executive rooms are impressively spacious with generous square footage
* Bathroom features proper wet/dry separation and includes a bathtub
* Amenities quality is solid
* Bedding is predictably comfortable
The Bad:
* The air conditioning appears to be centrally controlled by season. We stayed during an unseasonably warm stretch, but because it was technically winter, the system wouldn't cool the room down. Temperature couldn't be adjusted lower, and windows don't open. The room became stuffy and uncomfortably warm – a significant comfort issue.
️ Dining & Lounge: (4/5)
Breakfast: (4.5/5) – A genuine highlight. The spread features plenty of local Quanzhou specialties – expect regional Fujianese dishes, fresh noodles, and local pastries alongside international staples. Worth waking up for.
Executive Lounge: (4/5) – The lounge itself is well-designed with quality furnishings and a pleasant atmosphere. Food offerings during happy hour are average. The real winner here is the riverside view – it's an enjoyable spot to unwind with an evening drink as the sun sets over the river.
Service: (3/5)
Service quality was decidedly mixed:
Room service delay: Called for bottled water; it took an excessively long time to arrive. Simple requests shouldn't require follow-up calls.
Housekeeping miss: Upon check-in, we discovered what appeared to be a set of false eyelashes left behind by a previous guest. Not a huge issue in itself, but it signals rushed or inattentive cleaning between stays.
Staff interactions otherwise were professional – functional rather than memorable.
⚖️ Overall: 4/5
The Hilton Quanzhou Riverside delivers solid comfort, spacious rooms, and good dining at a reasonable price point. The river-view rooms and lounge are genuine assets, and breakfast is a definite highlight.
However, the location requires accepting transport dependence, the aircon's seasonal lock-in can cause real discomfort during weather transitions, and service inconsistencies keep it from reaching the next level.
Would I stay again? Maybe.
Despite some issues we encounter, for the price-to-space ratio and that river-view lounge, it's still a reasonable choice.

Aircon: If visiting during spring/autumn when temperatures fluctuate, ask about the current AC mode at check-in. If it's locked to heating and you're heat-sensitive, consider whether this property will work for you.

The staff are really nice, the hotel is well kept and the location is great but you can feel that the room is getting old a little and they need to use a good VPN on their internet for international guests because it’s almost useless without it.
