With over 60 dining seats available, the hotel provides guests with high-standard accommodations, private meeting rooms, and a blend of relaxation and entertainment in a modern, cozy setting. Additionally, our parking lot with more than 20 spaces enhances convenience for travelers, making the hotel a versatile destination that caters to the needs of business travelers, leisure tourists, and families alike. Early on, the hotel reached out to ask if I needed assistance. Initially, I was a bit skeptical about their motivation, but I decided to take them up on their offer and asked for help purchasing four tickets each for Tianmenshan Park and Wulingyuan Forest Park. To my surprise, there were no markups—just honest assistance. They also arranged airport pickup for us, with pricing comparable to booking a Didi (the Chinese equivalent of Uber).
For those planning to visit the forest park, this hotel’s location is unbeatable. By stepping across the creek using the stone pathway, you can reach the east gate in just a few minutes. Given the park’s popularity, arriving early makes a significant difference in the experience.
The complimentary breakfast was an unexpected delight. While many local restaurants emphasize their spicy regional dishes, the hotel's breakfast provided a refreshing alternative. Most of the offerings were Chinese cuisine, similar to what you might find in an Asian buffet in the U.S. or Canada—but noticeably fresher and tastier. There were a few pastries available, though the selection leaned heavily toward Chinese dishes. A standout feature was the noodle bar, where a chef prepared fresh noodles right on-site.
Last but not least, the staff was incredibly friendly—not just at the front desk, but throughout the hotel. Everyone seemed genuinely willing to assist, even with matters outside their usual responsibilities.

FYI-I would advise to put a cloth against the outside of the shower door as I did find that the seal wasn’t great and water tends to leak out.

Its location is ideal, just a leisurely 10 minutes walk to the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest, which made it incredibly convenient if you plan to visit Zhangjiajie National Forest!
Traveling with elderly family members and young children could have been challenging, but Peng Yi was an absolute lifesaver. She meticulously helped us with booking tickets to all attractions and arranging transport at very good rates, making our trip seamless. Beyond Peng Yi, the entire staff at ManYuan was consistently friendly and helpful. We also greatly appreciated the complimentary laundry service and the included breakfast, which was less spicy and oily than typical local restaurants.
Will definitely return on our next trip to Zhangjiajie National Forest.

We had booked a non-smoking room, but the room we were given had the faint smell of smoke and there was an ash tray in the room. When we raised the issue to the staff, they were very accommodating to our concerns and it was resolved smoothly. Overall, the room was clean and kid-friendly because there was a small toy slide in the room. Also, we loved how our room had a wonderful view of the river in front of the hotel and of the looming mountains in the distance.
Their buffet breakfast was excellent! There was a variety of food and drinks. Noodles, fried rice, meat dishes, vegetable dishes, bread, fruit, etc. Every dish we tried in the hotel was delicious and very satisfactory to our tastes.
All the staff we encountered was very accommodating, warm, and hospitable. We loved how they gave us a personalized experience during our stay in Manyuan Resort Hotel. The hotel concierge, Xiaolin, was so helpful with our trip around Wulingyuan. She helped us in booking our tickets and recommending the routes to take in the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Baofeng Lake, and the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge. She was also able to secure a student discount for my daughter even though she does not go to a Chinese university. Words cannot express just how grateful we are to Xiaolin.
The hotel’s price is reasonable and worth it. We highly recommend Manyuan Resort Hotel to those who plan to visit Wulingyuan.

The location is excellent, being very close to the National Forest Park and only a short journey away from Tianmen Mountain and the Grand Canyon.
The staff were immensely helpful, giving me a map of the park and devising which routes I should take to maximise my sightseeing. They also booked my tickets for me which saved me a lot of hassle.
The room itself was lovely, very clean, spacious, and cosy.
If I come back to Wulingyuan, I'll definitely stay again!
