My recent stay at a boutique hotel in downtown left me enchanted. The moment I stepped in, the scent of jasmine tea mingled with subtle sandalwood created an atmosphere that felt both refined and welcoming. The staff, dressed in crisp uniforms, greeted me with warm smiles and a handwritten note in both English and Mandarin. What impressed me most was their ability to balance efficiency with personal touch – they remembered my preference for jasmine tea by the second day and even recommended a hidden teahouse nearby. The room itself was a study in contrasts: floor-to-ceiling windows offering skyline views contrasted beautifully with hand-carved wooden furniture reminiscent of Ming dynasty craftsmanship. The free yoga session offered each morning in the rooftop garden became my favorite daily ritual. This hotel truly embodied China's ability to honor its heritage while embracing modernity.

The only fly in the ointment was that there was no hot water in the middle of the night the next night, and it was too late to disturb the housekeeper, so I didn't take a shower. The next morning, there was still no hot water, and even the cold water in the room next to it was cut off. Only then did I know that the water pipes were frozen. The whole family can only boil water to wash. Both the boss and the housekeeper came to say hello and apologize, and we also expressed our understanding, just overcome it. There is one thing to say, this kind of management is not in place, we don't know that the water pipes will freeze, but the store's business all year round should know that minus eight degrees will have such consequences. Say hello and say sorry, and it will be easy to solve the guests who don't care. If such a thing happens again in the future, if the guests insist on competing and demanding compensation, both parties will be unhappy. Hope to rectify the management loopholes as soon as possible, we will go again if we have the opportunity.

The hotel is a little hard to find, but is the services are amazing and the staff is incredibly kind. They added us on a WeChat group to communicate with us regarding what to prepare for breakfast and dinner. The bedroom is big, the bathroom came with a bath and shower, and the AC worked. Definitely recommend.
