The Hangzhou Dahua Hotel (Hanzhou Dahua Fandian) is located in the city center by the beautiful West Lake, only 3 km (2 mi) from Hangzhou Railway Station.This Huangzhou hotel is designed in the traditional Chinese style with many of the rooms looking out onto the lake. All rooms are equipped with domestic and international direct-dial telephones, TVs and central air-conditioning.The on-site restaurants serve Western, Sichuan, Cantonese, Yangzhou and native Hangzhou cuisines.The business center supplies all the standard services including fax, photocopying, typing and secretarial work. There are also conference and reception halls and several meeting rooms.Recreational offerings include a gym and a game room. Guests can also play tennis, ping pong and billiards in their spare time.

Very nice hotel, great environment at the side of beautiful west lake. Breakfast with great variety of food. Hotel comes with complementary photo package, the photographer is very nice. Highly recommended

Very nice location I used swimming pool but in bathroom there was a mold . Also this is old fashon decorated hotel but I spent minimum time there the West lake views are amazing

Strategically located with a view of the West Lake. Buffet breakfast has a variety spread. Love the free boat tour as well! Would love to return to stay if back in Hangzhou.

- Excellent location right by the West Lake
- The hotel provides free boat tickets which is a very nice one-hour boat tour around the West Lake
- Staff very friendly and help to carry your luggage to your room and also load your luggage into the taxi

Hotel is in a fantastic location and a beautiful building. Staff were good to deal with.
The issues though, are the following:
-Airconditioning doesn't work properly in the rooms. You can set the thermostat as low as possible and it won't budge an inch. Independently tested this with a portable temp monitor. Was very hot to sleep in 24C room with AC on supposedly 'full-blast'. Ended up having to open all the windows and outside door instead. I did ask hotel staff to assist with the room AC, but they weren't able to improve the situation.
-The restaurant isn't great. We went for lunch and were served cold duck and cold fried fish. I'm very happy eating Chinese food, though in this case, I didn't think the food options were good or tasty. Breakfast selection is just OK.
-I really think the air-ventilation needs to be checked. The whole hotel feels very 'stuffy'. I don't think that there's a good air-exchange happening with the outside air, which is a pity, because it's otherwise a nice hotel in a good location.
