Gorgeous city sunset …

It’s is big and well organize complex hotel, every room has balcony this is great advantage for ou5 door seating lover. I got room 12 floor city view however sunset view it is amazing if you are lucky on weather. Breakfast very good service and cleanliness are good usual Intercontinental standards. I had dinner at Chinese restaurant they have most Cantonese food but they add local dishes well this restaurant has river view , service and food quality is excellent. Room cleanliness are very good and they are attention to detail. Over all I am very happy to stay in intercontinental Wuhan.

Good

Positives:
Large clean and comfortable rooms
Quiet
Helpful friendly staff
Great location for expo and convention centre
Food at lobby cafe was good
Rooms have balconies and good views
Negatives:
Whiff of cigarette smoke in some parts of the hotel
Patchy unreliable WiFi
Location good for expo but not good for anything else. There are convenience stores outside the entrance and on the lower level which was good for snacks and drinks, but otherwise no options for drinks or dining in the vicinity of the hotel. Not much around this part of town.

When you arrive at the concierge they don’t take your bags to your room, they just direct you and you have to find your own room which was a first for me. Secondly, they did not include any welcome message even on their TV to just assure that the room was reserved for me , additionally, they didn’t include any welcome gifts as small as some fruits or a drink, but any drink included was to be charged. These areas need improvement. At breakfast i found it odd that that they mix Pork sausages and chicken sausages in the same serving bowl, which made me not to eat as I don’t eat pork. May these be improved as I am a frequent visitor and would want to consider Intercontinental Hotel again.

Loved my experience at Intercontinental. The location is great if you’re trying to have some quiet time. It’s not in the center or busy area. Spent 3 days here solely to relax and it had a marvelous view of the bridge and the Yangtze River.
Great pool and gym as well. Breakfast was good but they didn’t have much to offer for their buffet dinner so we opted to have it in a different place.
It’s worth it, I’d definitely stay here again. 😊

Conference hotel

A very large conference hotel that is attached to the convention centre and Holiday inn. Giant grand lobby but they manage to make the check in process personable. Upgraded me as i’m a diamond ambassador member
The suite is nice and large, with byredo toiletries. Also with balconies and views of the yantze river and the bridge
Breakfast at the lobby was ok despite the size and crowds. Typical china buffet style
Chinese restaurant Yue was ok, 4-5 five star service
