None of the in room phone are working. The exclusive twin bedroom, the lighting switches are hidden behind one of the pillows of the bed head, so every time we move in our sleep the light keep switching on. The attitude of the engineer that come to see the switch is really bad.
Otherwise everything is ok.

First morning arrival at 0900hr after a 12 hours flight from London. I was told we were too early, understand we were. So ask to have a coffee in the buffet restaurant and met with a stem 56 Yuen for takeout and 100 Yuen for sit in so I told them to keep it. What a disappointment from the Radisson group.
After demanding to be allocated a room twice then we were told it be ready at 1030hr. Thank you.
The restaurant staffs have not a friendly face at all the only time I saw them smiles is when they were talking to their boss. What a shame.
The hotel itself is at the heart of the walking street and is perfect for a shopping trip.
Room is very good I had a room with double aspect windows , lovely.
Special mention to Annie on the 30th floor executive lounge lovely person and looking after you from the moment you step out the lift to finished.
Breakfast is ok. Plenty variation but lacking in temperature, most time is warm only.

How should I start? First, we arrived almost 2 hours after check in and our rooms were still not ready. I booked 2 rooms with twin beds each but we were informed they did not have our rooms and told to stay in rooms with queen beds instead. When I said we could not, they said they would separate the beds and it took some time to prepare the rooms. Mind you, we arrived hotel long after check in.
Staff in reception could not care less about us. He did not give ANY information about the hotel, check out, facilities, breakfast etc and only told us to “sleep in queen beds” and then “wait”. I travel often and have preferred Radisson trusting the brand name but obviously I was wrong.
Room was okayish, clean and small. But beds were very very small and uncomfortable. As you see in the photos, the twin bed is the size of a pillow, ie 80cm or so while queen bed is 2 times it. There was also literally no space between the two beds!
Lastly, the bathroom has no privacy. Again, as you see in the photos, part of the glass is tinted while the other part is not. So if you are with a family member, friend etc, you will see each other naked!
I travel often, go overseas once a month or so, and this was my 3rd time in Shanghai with my sisters and niece this time. I stayed on Nanjin Road previously as well and I can easily say this was my worst stay. The stay was definitely uncomfortable and reception could not care about guests let alone give any information about the hotel.

House keeping is great, the breakfast good, the workout facilities not so great, but the disappointment of the stay was that they gave some perks, which includes a shabby 30th floor “executive club” (terribly food - leftovers from breakfast?) and the discount on laundry was refused. I do not care about the monetary part, but the refusal to acknowledge their mistake and lack of attempt to make up (or even say sorry) was startling. A hotel with lots of Russian guests.

Great location - just a little tired

The Radisson Collection in Shanghai is in an amazing location right on Nanjing Road and provides a great spot to explore Shanghai. While the hotel is a little tired the room was a good space and very comfortable. Internet worked fine and the desk space provided good power outlets for multiple devices. Staff were generally friendly but not entirely helpful so there was some difficulty with taxis and general advice. Exec floor lounge had a nice team who provided some good service for evening cocktails and a (limited) selection of snacks. Breakfast was crowded at peak times with some of the items being limited but the staff did try to keep up.
