Beautiful views - the rooms are simple but great for a trip to the rice terraces. We had a problem with the restaurant food on the first night but the problem was promptly resolved by the manager which was much appreciated. The goat hotpot did not come with slice d meat for cooking as expected. Instead all meat was already in the pot (quantity not enough for 2 people as mainly fat and bones which I did not enjoy eating). However the manager offered to remedy this problem by presenting a plate of sliced meat. This show good attitude in resolving problems. Highly recommended.The following evening he made good recommendations for dinner and we enjoyed the food very much.

The customs are somewhat different. When Chinese people eat mutton soup pot, they like mutton and mutton offal with a little bone. But foreign guests may not be accustomed to this way of eating. The staff of the restaurant did not notice the difference, which led to your dissatisfaction on the first night. I'm very sorry.

We spent a good time in this hotel. The hotel is stylish. confortable, and well equipped. It offers a great view over the rice terraces. The restaurant's staff was very helpful in all our queries. The restaurant/breakfast were good and can accomodate western tastes. The hotel management was responsive when needed.

The view is just as beautiful as it looks, and location wise it is ideal. The room was clean and stunning views.
The food was good when it was available, but many of the options on the menu were not available. Likewise, there was no water in the outdoor pool as advertised. The staff also said they didn’t know how to make cocktails, despite having a bar with all spirits available.
Finally, I would recommend AGAINST booking a car transit through the hotel. We ended up missing our train from Kunming because the driver (and her friend, who was brought along for the ride) stopped multiple times, including for long snack breaks, so we arrived 20 minutes after our train time.

We are very sorry for the food and beverage issues you mentioned. Due to the May Day holiday, some raw materials were not delivered in a timely manner, resulting in a shortage of dishes we provide. We will further improve our menu supply to ensure better meeting the needs of our customers. At the same time, regarding the lack of water in outdoor swimming pools, it is because the entire Yuanyang area is extremely dry, and all the water is used for irrigation and seedling protection. As a member of the village, we also have an obligation to save water, so we sacrificed the swimming experience of hotel guests.
We deeply regret that the hotel staff were unable to provide cocktail making services due to our inadequate training. In the future, employee training will be strengthened to ensure that they can provide comprehensive services and experiences for customers.
Finally, we deeply apologize for your dissatisfaction with the vehicle service provided by the hotel, which caused the delay of the train. This has indeed caused great setbacks for all of our employees. I was planted by the photos, so I booked for two nights. The price is relatively high in the terraced field scenic area. I was worried about the IQ tax, but after I came, I found it was worth the money! The room view is superb, the hardware is first-class, and the accessories are quite complete, even makeup remover wipes! The service response is also very timely. There is a thin lady with a particularly good-looking smile who is really a little angel! Finally, let’s talk about food and beverage, barbecue is a must! The kebabs are so delicious! The hot pot is also good! The breakfast is divided into two types: Chinese style and Western style. The plates are beautifully presented, and there is also freshly ground coffee (Shanghai people can't live without coffee). For old mothers with children, the hotel also provides a variety of books and coloring paper, which really saved my life and made me clean for a while! Really happy two days! I will miss this time so much!
