Great! Recommend

We were greeted very warmly by Nadine, with little care with her hosts.
A very nice place, barely arrived already immersed in a full nature.
An establishment to highly recommend.
We will be happy to come back to that.

Mixed opinion

We wish we could put 3.5 but impossible!
We stayed 2 nights at Tacacori Lodge. Here's how we feel:
Plus:
Nadine is a perfect host, very available at the time of booking but also on site, she allowed us to rent a 4x4 without worries with delivery to the lodge and found us a driver to take us back to San José from Sierpe, all at very good price
The garden is beautiful and having breakfast on the terrace in front of the squirrels and birds was a real pleasure;
Less:
The bungalows are very aging and would need an upgrade in terms of both decoration and equipment.
The cleanliness of the bungalow could be greatly improved.
Breakfasts are hearty but quite simple and identical every day: fruit plate, tea or coffee, bread toast, butter and jam, fruit juice. There is also the possibility of having scrambled eggs. However, I could not have eggs on the plate rather than scrambled eggs because there was no suitable pan!
The value for money is a bit high
However, we recommend this accommodation upon arrival and/or departure, for its proximity to the airport and the quality of the Francophone welcome.

Several very nice cottages in a dreamlike park-like garden. Close to the airport, good parking, nice operator who also offers tours. Good breakfast. A very nice place to arrive or before departure and to explore the central valley north of San José

A wonderful stay!

Wonderful lush gardens! Great location to base your adventures from. Comfortable cabins nestled amongst beautiful flowers and trees. Plenty of birds to watch and an excellent breakfast to start your day. We have stayed here both coming to Costa Rica and preparing to leave. Conveniently close to the airport.

Great accommodation with great gardens.

We ended up spending our trip here the last night before the flight back. Nicole received us very nicely. In addition, the Tacacori Ecolodge has its own guestbook with tips for the surrounding area (e.g. restaurants). The bungalos all have a small terrace with hammock and the rooms are very nicely decorated and clean. The garden is very well maintained and you can discover birds and squirrels. Breakfast was very delicious (fruit, toast with jam, scrambled eggs, coffee and juice) is served on the terrace overlooking the valley. The only thing we didn't like so much was that our room smelled a bit musty, but that doesn't go away with the high humidity and other accommodations have problems with that as well. We will definitely come back.
