We had to come to Puntarenas unexpectedly and needed a safe place to stay for the night. It definitely exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back when we can spend a little more time…thank you for such a warm and welcoming vibe!

Cozy guest house with excellent owner

It was an interesting experience, we usually live in hotels and very rarely in houses with the owner. The host is very pleasant and friendly, and it was interesting to talk to him! Recommended us a place for dinner, in an authentic Mexican taqueria. It was delicious!
The area is cozy and beautiful, there is a small swimming pool, private parking. There are two weasel dogs in the house who love to play with the guests. For me it's an immediate plus to reputation :) The room is small but clean, the bed is comfortable, there is good hot water in the shower. Wifi was enough for video calls for work. Nice strong air conditioning.
Breakfast was good, with a choice of either the classic Costa Rican version (rice, beans, eggs, avocado) or fruit with yogurt, juice and coffee.
Perhaps the only point is the cost of breakfast. I understand that everything in Costa Rica is for wealthy American tourists, and prices are inflated everywhere. But $29 for breakfast for two is a bit much. At the same time, we had breakfast with a large buffet at Barcelo San Jose for less. And this is one plate to choose from per person. At the very least, I recommend the host include both the classic version and the fruit and yogurt for that price in breakfast. Because personally, for example, I'm clearly not full)

This tranquil hotel is a highlight of our trip. Such a peaceful place. Nice rooms, great beds, entertainment room, full kitchen for guest use and a delicious breakfast is available. Highly recommended and not far from SJO airport. The staff was very helpful and so nice!

What a wonderful get away! Jane's is not far from the SJO airport, which made it a great relay point for us coming in on a late flight.
It is a tranquil, secure place. The rooms are comfortable! There is a beautful pool, ocean access, a full kitchen for use and the restaurant breakfast was amazing! Fabian was a wonderful host and very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommended!

A sweet little place. There was a lovely pool with hammocks and full outside kitchen with large fridge that guests could use. The room was simple but very clean. Bed was a bit firm but comfy. Shower was hot. Our host Laurie was awesome. When we arrived she offered for supper to be prepared for us for a very reasonable fee. We had a delicious vegatable au gratin with rice pudding served on the upper deck. We also were served a wonderful breakfast up on the deck as well. We walked to the beach which was lovely for sunsets but not suitable for swimming.
