A very nice guesthouse
The room was very clean and had everything we needed. I can definitely recommend a room with a terrace. It is very relaxing to sit outside in a comfortable rocking chair and be immersed in nature. A special feature was the shower cabin that had a glass wall from floor to ceiling, overlooking the forest. There was no curtain to cover the window in case you'd like to do so, but you're at the edge of the forest anyhow.
The breakfast was nice and fresh made. It provided for a great start of the day.
The one thing that we had to get used to is that it is quite isolated and the surroundings are quite dark at night. I was glad to have a strong flashlight with me, so we could walk to a nearby restaurant.
I was also unsuccessful to get an Uber, but later heard this might be because the drivers there prefer to be paid in cash, not with a credit card. This is a setting in the Uber app, so you may be more lucky than we were. Having said that, the owner was very helpful to get us a regular taxi.
One tip is to visit the Monteverde Butterfly Gardens. They are beautiful and you learn so much about butterflies and insects there. It is only a 10 minute walk, but going back is quite a steep climb.
When you go there, also consider visiting the Farm to Table Escondido restaurant at the Valle Escondido Nature Reserve. It is right next to the butterfly gardens. You can get nice food plus an amazing view there.

We drove as fast as we could to the B&B, but it was dark and locked when we arrived. The B&B wasn't straightforward to find and we had a few wrong turns before we went down the correct lane. Signage at the main road was minimal.
Because we couldn't get thru to them, we had to find and pay for an alternate hotel to spend the night. It wasn't easy to find another hotel in the late evening.
I would not recommend this lodging to any others who may be arriving late.

Very recommendable
The host is helpful an lovely. He showed us all the animals in the garden. We were able to see toucans and monkeys.
Also he gave us good recommendations for Monteverde.
The breakfast was very delicious.
We had a nice time there!!
