The most magical place with exceptional staff!
Everything was perfection-the grounds, food and especially the staff. They went above and beyond to welcome our family and make our trip enjoyable - even providing an individual s’mores experience when my kids missed it. 10/10

Family tranquility in Monteverde
We stayed at Monteverde Lodge for 3 nights; two adults and two children aged 8 and 9. For this duration the lodge was perfect. Bedrooms are immaculate with a lovely small balcony with a stream that runs past (if downstairs). The size of the rooms is modest for four guests and there was limited storage space for cases and clothes, but we managed. Breakfasts were exceptional (served à la carte). The pool is small but lovely & heated. There are only 31 rooms so it doesn’t feel busy. The hotel has two nature trails which is a nice touch & wildlife wanders the grounds. The hotel restaurant serves excellent food but is notably fairly expensive (although about right for Costa Rica, which is fairly pricey everywhere). We would definitely recommend the hotel.

Monteverde Lodge was amazing. From the front desk to the waitstaff and housekeeping it was all wonderful. I would definitely recommend Monteverde Lodge

Lovely hotel, fabulous grounds, restaurant amazing with a much needed log fire for the chilly nights
Room lovely but the walls are so thin we could hear everything in the room next door. Reception were helpful and dealt with the noisy partying guests next door. If you have a room near reception be warned you will be disturbed but the staff setting up in the restaurant .

Great lodge close to town
A wonderful lodge with a spa and nice pool. The room is very nice with coffee maker, safe, and robes. Excellent breakfast is included. We saw agouti on site plus various birds. You can walk to the town and they can coordinate tours for you. Umbrellas and walking sticks also available. The restaurant on site (for lunch/dinner) and drinks is pricey.

Up to two additional guests (including children over 10) can stay in the same room for an additional charge. Additional guests pay $40 or $45 (depending on the season) per person per night. Additional fees are not calculated automatically in the total cost and will have to be paid separately during your stay.
